If it wasn't for the sudden burst of national interest the Chiefs got when he came here, they'd probably be playing in LA right now.

Eh, I don't know our defense was pretty stout & Arrowhead was rocking with or with out Montana in the early 90s even. If only we didn't go on a string of retread quarterbacks that followed Joe Montana.

I recall Ted Popson coming to KC as well. But, I don't think he was part of the actual trade. And despite popular CP beliefs, getting Joe beyond his prime is still better than any prospect we had under center since. The guy was phenominal with the receiving core we had. IMO... that was as close to a complete team we've ever had since Lenny the Cool.

1993 was my first year to root for the chiefs. I was 6. A lifelong lesson in bandwagoning. FML
