Go on record: Will the Chiefs trade-out of the #1 overall pick?
Will we trade-out of the #1 overall pick...?
|
I don't know if they will....but I would.
|
Yes, according to my "dream"
|
If someone out there in NFL Land is game they sure as hell will. The question is, which team is willing to trade up?
|
No.
|
I'm saying yes, and i have a feeling we are going to be pissed with the "bounty" we receive, as it may be shitty, but it will get us a few picks and allow us to either trade down again, or take the OT we want.
|
Too much speculation bs this offseason
|
I've had too many, "they did what?"s to ponder it.
|
Real ? is will a team want to move up.
|
Such an impossible thing to answer, as they could want to, but if nobody offers them anything they are stuck with it.
|
I've gone back and forth on this but ultimately I think we do.
Buffalo is the team that moves up and I do believe we'll get a good deal. |
Probably.
|
Nope gonna take a QB
|
Not if they trade Albert.
Buffalo will go with Barkley after his pro day. Book it. |
they have to trade up and get that number 0, just no other way
|
Depends on if they get any takers I'm sure it is what they want to do.
|
If they trade Albert, they will want to get THEIR LT for sure. And if traded back to 7-9 they will definitely miss out on Joeckel and possibly Fisher also.
|
N
OO TTT G OO NNN NNNN AAAAA H AA PPP PPPP EEEEE NNNNN |
Chances lessen if we trade Albert. We would take LT at 1.1 and would have our 2nd likely back from the Albert trade.
|
Maybe,yeah, de-de-deffinitaly maybe
|
It's impossible to know for sure. I think they want to, and I think if they do it'll be for crap in return.
|
I said yes, but "I have no clue whatsoever" counts as a legitimate response. It's actually my REAL answer to the question.

Yep. Somebody is going to panic and say there is a player they can't be without and the Chiefs don't see it that way, in the rebuild mode, they want picks. The more the merrier. C'mon up!
|
But there'll be no market! No one wants any player in this draft!
|
Voted yes just becasue I think that is their first choice. I won't be suprised if they don't, however.
|
Why would I need to go on record for this?

Depends on Albert but I think they will trade out.
|
From reading reports, the Eagles have a serious interest in Geno Smith.
Hopefully Reid can trade with his old GM and still have a top 5 pick. |
If the Eagles are that interested, whatever they offer, I'd for sure call the Bills and try and get more out of them.

Lane Johnson will be available, which I and many others FAR prefer to Joeckel in every way. |
If we're going OT, 8-10 should be about right.
|
If we go down to 8, we need to get a haul in picks. I'm a bit afraid to go down that far, in that I could see a team like the Chargers jumping us to take the last LT available.
IMO, that would be disastrous to trade Albert and not end up with one of the top LT's in this class. |
Yes. There are plenty of other teams that see the value of having a franchise quarterback. Lots of opportunities for the Chiefs to trade down and draft linemen.

If we trade Albert and move down to 8, it will be blatantly obvious that Lane Johnson our guy. |
I'm not sure Miami is all about a LT at this point. If they sign Winston like some expect, they'll move Martin to LT and see how that works out. I think the Lions, Eagles (maybe) Cardinals and another surprise team are looking for a LT.
If we don't trade Albert, I don't see us taking a LT. They'll either trade him and stay at 1 taking whichever one they like best, or keep him and try to trade down and take a pass rusher. |
There are plenty of sleeper tackle options outside of Luke Joeckel - some of whom will be available in the second and maybe even third rounds. This draft class is very deep at tackle, imo. Here are some options:
Menelik Watson, Brennan Williams, Chris Faulk, Xavier Nixon all have elite potential, imo. |
I'm surprised no one has brought up the point that a team could covet Dion Jordan and is afraid that either the Jags or Oakland may snag him thus trading up for the #1 overall pick for that very purpose.

Watson is being talked about as a 1st rounder, IIRC at this point.

The real question is who do you pick in this situation? We keep Albert, can't trade down and the following players are gone: Joeckel, Geno, Fisher, Milliner, Jordan, Ansah and Floyd. |
No 'cause Geno sucks...
(ducks for cover) |
I dont' think Jordan and Ansah will be gone by then. But in that situation, probably Richardson.
Thats the shitty thing and the beauty of this draft and the position we find ourselves in. It's just going to depend who they like. I think the Jags probably take one of the pass rushers if Geno isn't available. Raiders will take a DL, Floyd or Star, Eagles a LT, Det Milliner or a LT, Browns are a WC at this point and they are who I'm afraid will trade down with someone looking for a Lt if we trade Albert and trade to 8, the Cards a LT. So the 3 LT's are probably gone. A pass rusher, QB, DL and a CB gone too. |
I think Mingo is who we should be targeting if we trade down to 8. JMO.
|
No.
We're run by stupids. |
Mingo is pretty much a 34 OLB, IIRC. I like Ansah's ability to move around a little more.

No thats Montgomery.

Get Houston, Hali, Poe, Ansah or whoever all out there together in different sets. |
And FWIW, I think Jarvis Jones would garner a lot of consideration in that situation.

I still think they want rid of Albert, and will pick joekel.

There are 44 delusional Chiefs fans. LMAO

TBH, I forgot about Mingo.
I don't think there is any way Ansah is gone before 8 though. |

Yep. They will deal it to the Eagles.

I think Fisher is their #1 guy, but if he's gone I bet they take Ansah. I bet Cleveland could take him too. |

This place has gone over the cliff reeruned |

TBH, I think all the pass rushers that will be taken high are better fits at the 34 OLB than DE. Jordan, Ansah and Mingo that is.
|
I think they'll want to, but I voted no because in the end I don't think they'll find a partner.

Someone will make a hard run at Geno #1. A second this year and a first next should do it.

I voted yes because if they get an offer they will take it. And it will probably be a shitty, raping offer, and they'll roll right the **** over and take it. Then, a bunch of ****tards will spend WEEKS justifying it to make themselves feel better.

With no hope of drafting a QB at #1, I hope they do. I just can't see why we need to move Albert. Sign the guy long term, trade down, move on.
