gblowfish 03-12-2013 12:10 PM

jd1020 03-12-2013 12:11 PM

Awwwww yaaaa.

Scratch one more potential position for the #1 pick off the list.

Bring on that RT!

BossChief 03-12-2013 12:11 PM

Is it a recent offer, or something from his "red carpet" visit?

The Franchise 03-12-2013 12:11 PM

**** yes. For the love of God.....TAKE THE DEAL, CANTY!

Mike Garafolo said we offered a contract to Canty a day after his visit. It was announced couple weeks ago.

notorious 03-12-2013 12:13 PM

Is Canty still worth a ****?

I didn't watch him very much last year.

BossChief 03-12-2013 12:13 PM

Jackson
Poe
Canty
Dorsey
Bailey

That DL would be cemented without a single need.

KCrockaholic 03-12-2013 12:13 PM

Hello Canty. Goodbye Glenn and Star and Sheldon.

I'd still take Glenn back as long as it was a small deal.

Ravens meet with Chris Canty

March, 12, 2013 Mar 121:12PM ETBy Jamison Hensley |

The Baltimore Ravens took their first step in trying to improve the interior of their defensive line when they visited with New York Giants free-agent defensive tackle Chris Canty, according to multiple reports.

Baltimore has some competition for Canty, who has previously met with the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans. He reportedly received an offer from the Titans.

Canty, 30, was cut by the Giants on Feb. 6 because he was due a $6.25 million salary this year.

The Ravens were unhappy with the play of nose tackles Ma'ake Kemoeatu and Terrence Cody last season and had little depth behind defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.

For depth purposes yeah it would make sense. I just think in order to get Dorsey back it'll take a starter type deal. And we shouldn't be paying starter money to 4 guys in a 3 man rotation.

I don't think it will. He's not going to have a HUGE market in FA.

ShowtimeSBMVP 03-12-2013 12:16 PM

Local Radio here in Baltimore said they think Canty doesn't leave town without a deal.

The Franchise 03-12-2013 12:16 PM

**** the Ravens......Jesus.

In58men 03-12-2013 12:17 PM

Jockel or Fisher in the first, we'll sign Chase Daniel, we won't draft a QB until the 6th and we'll pray that he's a diamond in the rough. Same mediocre shit every season.

RealSNR 03-12-2013 12:18 PM

Dorsey's presumed new contract + Canty would eliminate DL at 1.1

One more starter at OL in free agency and I'd feel much better about escaping the LT AIDS

The Franchise 03-12-2013 12:19 PM

Not sure how much it would cost......

Dorsey
Canty
Brad Jones
DRC
Cherilus

Then after we sign that FA OL we still pick ****ing Joeckel and then trade Albert.

Chiefs way...

penbrook 03-12-2013 12:20 PM

Nick Athan reported Glenn Dorsey has a deal in place with the Chiefs. Presumeably a 3 year deal.

So that means he doesn't have a deal on the table.

CupidStunt 03-12-2013 12:21 PM

Hopefully it's a very good deal. A merely solid deal isn't gonna be enough to get a guy to come to a small market, 2-14 team, even if there's hope on the horizon. A few thou less and who wouldn't sign for a title contender?

That means he signed with the Broncos for league minimum

A player looking for his last NFL payday and already has a ring.

Nick Athan can be a really reliable source of insider information as long as you're able to translate.

Every team says that about every FA that visits.

Having said that, wouldn't you rather play for the Ravens rather than the Chiefs?

Depends. Has Canty been given the Hugh Douglas red carpet special at all the BBQ restaurants?

Agreed. There used to be a filter on Nick Athan similar to Pioli, and I was surprised when it didn't happen in my post. I think it would say Nick "The eronius one" Athan.

The day Bleacher Report is out of business will be a glorious one.

Until like, 5 minutes later when those morons start up a new website.
