Cullen Jenkins released
Reid and Dorsey ties. Played 3-4 in GB where he was better than in Philly. A need in KC.
Any interest? |
I would hope so.
With our lackluster lineplay in recent years we should be looking at every FA DL available. |
Would be nice depth.
|
|
Why was he cut, I'd ask.
|
Cheech Marin has really let himself go.
|
**** yeah...he just turned 32 and is just the type of player we should target.
|
Depth? That dude should start. As long as we're excited about guys like Chris Canty, we should be hoping that Cullen Jenkins comes here.
He's pretty much exactly what people wanted Glenn Dorsey to be when the 3-4 switch happened. |

Dude was a beast rushing the passer in 2011 and 2010.
4th ranked at 16.4 with 25 pressures and 6 sacks. 3rd and 21/7 the year before. |
The Packers have been trying desperately to get pressure from the 3/5 tech since he left and have failed miserably.
I want Cullen Jenkins and I want him now. Additionally, if Floyd fell to the Eagles at 4 and so did Joeckel, they'd have a decision to make. |
You say we need good veterans on the defensive line?
There is your guy. **** Canty. Get Jenkins. |
Do it.

Report: Cullen Jenkins would be interested in Packer return
Posted by Josh Alper on February 25, 2013, 3:24 PM EST Detroit+Lions+v+Green+Bay+Packers+Up1sDjOO2sNl Getty Images Before Cullen Jenkins signed on with the Eagles, he was a member of the Green Bay Packers’ defensive line. Now that Jenkins has been released by the Eagles, there’s word that he’d like to return to his old stomping grounds. Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel heard from a source that Jenkins “would be interested” in returning to the Packers now that he’s on the open market. Jenkins had 11.5 sacks over his final two seasons with the Packers and had 9.5 over the last two years with the Eagles. With Jerel Worthy’s status unclear because of a torn ACL, a reunion could make sense for the Packers as well. They are reportedly set to talk to former Giant Chris Canty in the coming days, so there seems to be interest in the idea of veteran help on the defensive line and Jenkins has familiarity with the system already. Silverstein thinks Canty’s a better fit, but it would seem that the Packers have a couple of options available to them if they choose to bolster their line ahead of the start of free agency. |
Screw it, let's beat the Packers to the punch and get him here.

RT @EaglesInsider: #Eagles part ways with defensive tackle Mike Patterson, one of the true class acts. A tough, hard-nosed player |
Eagles getting ready for Floyd.

Cullen Jenkins is not the pass rusher he was with the Packers. Maybe he can regain some form of it, but he looks to be on the down hill slope of his career. Buyer beware tag on him.

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Former Eagles DL Cullen Jenkins reached agreement on a three-year deal with the New York Giants. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Numbers: Cullen Jenkins and Giants agreed to a three-year, $8 million deal that included a $2 million signing bonus and $3 million gtd. |
Is Canty just asking for too much or something?
If Jenkins signed for pennies, what is Canty looking for? |
I've read some whispers that Canty is being incredibly touchy, he wants to play for a team that isn't particularly interested in him (the Panthers).
So he's just farting around right now, I have no idea. |
