Discount double-check!

This is pretty goddamned adorable. I already like Rodgers, but I'll be damned if seeing him hang out with little Packers fans doesn't make me like him a little more. PR stunt or not, those kids aren't going to forget meeting him.

Ceej 02-11-2013 06:11 PM

Stud.

Someone I would be proud to call our franchise quarterback.

NIUhuskies 02-11-2013 06:23 PM

great to see. nice we still have great players that act like that.

Cassel is actually a really good guy as well and does a ton in the community, its just too bad hes not very good at football or we'd hear a lot more about it

plbrdude 02-11-2013 07:20 PM

that's just a whole nother level of awesome

RunKC 02-11-2013 07:59 PM

By far my favorite football player outside of Kansas City.

One of the true good guys of the game on and off the field.

Fritz88 02-11-2013 08:04 PM

Not to take anything from AR. I think he's a great person and a great player, but we have to know that these people have major PR agencies working to create these kinds of things for them.

That's why they hire the players in the first place. Aaron Rodgers = more awareness for the cause. We also don't know if he does other things that are not in front of the cameras.

Cornstock 02-11-2013 08:28 PM

This is great. I just consider how much this would have meant to me, who grew up completely normal, to have a pro come to my house and play, it would have changed my life. And then to have that for a kid who has overcome so much (and deserves it infinitely more than me) its amazing to think about.

Baby Lee 02-11-2013 08:31 PM

'She has no idea we're coming here' as the camera s right over her shoulder as she answers the door. Nice story but that was gilding the lily a bit.

But the straw hat with the red sheriff's badge was BAUCE!!

Demonpenz 02-11-2013 08:33 PM

the way he handled favre situation was telling about him.

Sooo, your critique is that famous people have non-famous people figure how they can do good things for others instead of the famous people figuring it out themselves?

Is that even a critique?

BTW- could Dijon's mom have even gone to the trouble of spelling it Dejaun or something, instead of naming him directly after Grey Poupon. It's little less egregious than the urban myth about Lemonjello and Orangello.

Also - wish I knew what AR's 3 favorite books were growing up that he gave to Dijon.

DaKCMan AP 02-11-2013 09:45 PM

Just don't tell him he looks smaller in person.

loochy 02-11-2013 09:58 PM

Hey guys...do you know who is a GOODER guy?

That's right, MARK CASTLE!

Mostly, yes.

They hire firms to figure out what's the "hot" thing to do at the moment.

Is it being green? Is it Somalia? Is it kids with Cancer.

Everybody wins.

Is that what you think when you see a camera? "Hey, look at that camera. I bet Aaron Rodgers is sneaking around here somewhere."

Exactly.

Rodgers is a great quarterback but at first he was seen to be smug and an asshole.

I think they are rebuilding his image and doing a good job.

Does he have any foundations that help people?
