A MOVIE CAN'T BE ENJOYED UNLESS YOU HAVE 7 CHANNEL SURROUND SOUND AND A 60 INCH TV |
I had columbia house for cds when I was a kid.
I fulfilled the terms of my agreement and cancelled in the specified manner and I did not have a problem. |
Columbia house still exists?
Can you still get 7 CDs for a penny? |

Obsolete company selling a product that is slowly becoming obsolete. I bet trying to cancel will be a pain in the arse. I'd stay away. |
Yay! DVDs!

It worked great for me, too. |
In 5-10 years they will be doing Blue Rays, so you should probably get in on the ground floor.

I don't understand what's wrong with watching a dvd. If you have a player and a TV you can watch them. If you want, you can copy them to Blu Ray or whatever in 10 years.

Man, I loved Columbia House. When I was a kid, way back in the Paleolithic Era (1974-1979), there weren't many record stores around. Columbia House was like the pre-Internet version of Amazon. You could order cassettes, records, 8-tracks, and reel-to-reels. I remember waiting expectantly for that catalog, filling out the little order card with the serial numbers, then waiting for that magic day when the small white cardboard box would come in, with my new audio cassettes.
