This one's funny. To me, anyway.

Nice...

Deberg_1990 11-11-2012 12:54 PM

heh....nice work guys......but i can barely make it through that. The sad country music vibe makes me want to go cheat on my wife, kick the dog, abandon my kids and drown my sorrows away over a sixer of Falstaff.

The guy is doing this for free man. Would you stop shitting on every one of these new video threads?

guitarmy21b 11-11-2012 12:58 PM

I like this one more than the last one, mostly because of the Marshall Tucker parody. I wanna drink a beer with this guy.

Technically, this song isn't even country. So you need to start complaining about Southern Rock too.

I'm sure Tech nine, Mac Lethal, or Irv Da Phenom would do one for free also...

Yeah. Definitely country. Nowhere near southern rock... It stopped being southern rock once this guy started singing it.

The number of people whining about country every week is comical. LMAO

What percentage of Chiefs fans like country? A lot.

The absolute MOST we would hope for would be a mention in in part of a song or something....but like I said almost a month ago, its worth a try...a twitter handle with over 100,000 followers would surely get noticed and probably responded to.

Sure, a lot of Chiefs fans like country. I appreciate this guy creating these songs on his own time and for no charge. That being said, SOC is supposed to be a movement to gain national attention, and limiting ourselves to one less-than-popular genre of music isn't going to achieve that. His songs so far have all sounded very similar; if someone doesn't like one of them, chances are they won't like any of them.

I encourage the artist of these songs to keep making them, but the movement could gain some positive traction if it would diversify the medium of its message a little bit more.

I'm no fan of country but to say it is "one less-than-popular genre of music" is just plain stupid.

Good post and I totally agree...except for the "less than popular" part.

It's popular, but polarizing no doubt.

I really appreciate the guy working for free though. Class act.

Baby Lee 11-11-2012 01:38 PM

Seeing old fat Scott in the initial press conference gave me a glorious scene in my mind. It would seem utterly impossible to even simulate, particularly as it's video, not photos.

But, the series ending scene of The Sopranos

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rnT7nYbCSvM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Pioli is Gandolfini, Clark is Carmela, RAC is AJ, and Cassel is of course Meadow. The people who come in the door arousing Tony's suspicions are other GM prospects. The man in the member's only jacket is Jon Gruden.

Cassel/Meadow is still outside trying to park, but unlike Meadow's attempts, it's that drunk guy driving the Caterpillar into row after row of parked cars until he's beaten by the angry mob.

AJ's 'focus on the good times' remark is replaced by RAC saying 'play good football,' with a similar smack and 'don't be sarcastic' from Pioli.

For nostalgia's sake, onion rings are replaced with nachos.

As Meadow/Cassel limps bloody to the door of the restaurant, Pioli looks up, a bell rings, fade to black.

across the blackened screen after a second's beat, . . . 2013????

My mistake; I hardly hear any of it in the bubble I live in. Went to look at the Top 100 and Country made up almost a quarter of it.

I find myself writing fewer and fewer lines each song. I was surprised how many lines I wrote in the first song. I find my role has become more keeping the lyrics on point, factually accurate, and concise. I bring a sheet with 8 or 9 bullet points with regard to the Chiefs and we draw inspiration from those bullets. I usually pull up several ChiefsPlanet threads and even had the rejected banner ideas thread up. Obviously, this song was written just after we watched the Dawson/Pioli interview. I thought it would be good to have it released in time for the airing of the entire interview.

Another solid song... I just tweeted Mac Lethal to see if he would verbally beatdown the Chiefs. We connected during the Twitter deal, and he may be open to it. I'll wait for a reply, then have Phobia write his rap for him.

Hammock Parties 11-11-2012 04:16 PM

Ask him if he'll do a "Patriot Way" parody of the "Walk This Way" rap.

guitarmy21b 11-11-2012 07:11 PM

I don't think it's a country song. It's basically "Can't You See" by the Marshall Tucker Band without the flute, and that's definitely not a country song. They were more in the early southern rock era along with the Allman Brothers and Skynyrd.

Hammock Parties 11-11-2012 07:17 PM

LET'S DEBATE THE NUANCES OF MUSICAL GENRES INSTEAD OF THE STATE OF OUR FRANCHISE AND THIS SLICK MUSICAL COMMENTARY ON THAT ISSUE

Debating the state of the franchise is kind of beating a dead horse at the moment. It's week 10 and debating the genre of fan made music videos is currently the most interesting thing we have going. Don't take that away from us, it's all we've got!

teedubya 11-11-2012 07:36 PM

Could the next Save Our Chiefs song, be just a gospel rap song?

Hammock Parties 11-11-2012 07:39 PM

I think SOC IV should be aggressive and edgy. Enough of this woe is us crap. Let's go on the offensive. You know, since the Chiefs never do.

bowener 11-11-2012 09:15 PM

I'm getting to the point where I want us all to fist Clark's ass for letting this fat **** walk around and pretend to be anything.

Phobia 11-11-2012 11:08 PM

I tried to convince Kenneth to do some scream metal this week but then he started doing this Marshal Tucker piece and playing with the lyrics. Baby steps.

Hammock Parties 11-11-2012 11:27 PM

Something up tempo would be a good break from "depressing Chiefs song of the week."

I have no idea why I picked this as an example.

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OVAp258IPBY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

OR, hell, let's do a parody of paint it black. Alternate lyrics wouldn't be too hard to brainstorm.

These are both very telling. Great job. I liked Frustrated Inc better, but was hoping to see highlights of all the Casselllllllllll's injury throws. I know there were quite a few with Boss, Bowe, McCluster, Hillis etc. That is a little nit picky because it was done very well. Just a couple cents worth, anyway.
