Disney's Wreck-it Ralph (with real video game characters)

Wow, they must have had to pay a fortune in licensing fees, but check this out.

Reaper16 06-08-2012 08:54 PM

I'll see it opening day.

bishop_74 06-08-2012 09:00 PM

Wow. They know how to trip the nostalgia buttons for sure. That looks fun.

mikeyis4dcats. 06-08-2012 09:01 PM

for those who like to read, pick up Ready, Player One. it's a fantastic fun trip through the 80s and video games.

Psyko Tek 06-08-2012 09:39 PM

love the movie
thanks

Saulbadguy 06-09-2012 08:56 AM

wow, looks great. Zangief wasn't a bad guy, though.

Micjones 06-11-2012 09:06 AM

Saw the trailer for this the other night.
This isn't even my kind of film, but it looks fantastic.

DMAC 06-11-2012 09:11 AM

Why Jane Lynch. Other that that...looks really cool.

Saw this last night. It was pretty cute. The first half's a bit slow but nostalgic for old gamers, and still good for kids. The second half actually developed a fairly complex plot that might lose some of the little kids, but as usual has the typical cartoon morality play. (Not saying this is bad, just saying it.) It was enjoyable.

Takin my kids tomorrow. Can't wait. IMO, it's been a weak year overall for animation, but this and Guardians in a few weeks look strong. My fave animated movie s far this year is probably Frankenweenie.

I like that one alot. Have yet to see frankenweenie

Ceej 11-01-2012 07:55 PM

This looks really, really good.

I may go see it tomorrow. Alone. In a big trench coat.

Buck 11-02-2012 10:52 AM

I'm about to go see this. It's only $9.75 for 3D if I go before noon. It's showing in like 50 min.

Buck 11-02-2012 11:38 AM

I'm the only person in the theater. Its weird.

Buck 11-02-2012 01:44 PM

It was alright. Both John C Reilly and Sarah Silverman have really annoying voices.

Pitt Gorilla 11-02-2012 01:48 PM

Saw it this morning with my kids. I liked it a lot. The voice acting was wonderful, IMO.

LOL. I just commented otherwise. However, I didn't care for SS's voice. Reilly and Kenneth were great.

Creepy single guy alone in a movie theater watching a kids movie. What's so weird about that?

kc rush 11-02-2012 02:32 PM

Saw it earlier this week at a special screening. It was ok, but my kids loved it. I liked the interaction between the old games and these new characters the best.

Also, I'd say that I enjoyed the short prior to the movie more than the feature.

Are you wearing your charger footed PJS?

CoMoChief 11-03-2012 07:16 AM

Zangief FTW!!!!!

Reaper16 11-03-2012 08:36 AM

I thought it was pretty great. Best Pixar film since Up, and Pixar didn't even make it. The writing was really sharp. It's basically a flawless film.

The short that airs before, Paperman, has Oscar written all over it. Super good.

It wasn't a Pixar film, it's a Disney film.

I saw it yesterday. Pretty good flick, but just a tad bit less than most Pixar flicks. I was hoping there would be a little more game hopping. They basically sat in Sugar Rush for most of the movie.

Overall, pretty good. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

Oh, and Paperman was outstanding.

Well, I said it wasn't a Pixar film. Also, more game hopping? That would destroy all of the character work that the film did.

The contra reference for the code to the vault by king candy made me lmao.
