This! While I'm not a hockey diehard, I've been a Devils fan since Brodeur came into the league. First time they've played in the finals since 2003, and at least 1 ****ing team I root for competes for championships. GO DEVILS!

Congrats to the Devils. I still think the Kings win and I will be rooting for them since they have never won the cup, but what the Devils have done is no small feat.

The Kings are on an incredible run. They've beaten the top 3 seeds to get here, it will be a tough series. My guess though is Marty goes lights ****ing out and looks vintage in this series. Devils in 5, maybe 6. Now, I'm a huge Brodeur mark. I admit it. But I believe on this stage, he reminds us why he is the greatest goalkeeper of all time.

When I was in high school and a few years of college I listened to every game that wasn't televised online. I got very bored with that and just started watching other teams and checking the scores online.

I need to get center ice...NBC Sports hardly ever schedules Devils games.

He is good, no doubt. We will see if he still has it this whole series because the Kings are playing lights out. Brodeur has been lights out at times and average at best other times in this playoffs. I just think Quick will be as good if not better in this series. Oh and IMO Roy was the best goalie of all time. I would put Brodeur in the Top 3-5 though.

Marty looked ****ing amazing tonight. That 3rd period was the Marty show. He really couldn't have done a lot to stop either goal the Rangers scored. Hoping that carries over and I'm sure it will.

I also agree with pr, the team looks great right now and will get Marty another.

They both pretty much have the same win % when throwing out ties, but Brodeur has had a slight advantage because ties no longer exist.

slight?!?!? He is the ONLY goalie to ever win 600 games and currently sits at 656. Marty has 8 40 win seasons including 3 consecutive. Roy has 1 40 win season... ever. Jeez man, he has even scored a game winning goal (he has scored twice in his career).

This isn't even homer speak... its just numbers. In no universe is Roy a better G than Marty.

He just turned 40. He's dropped a tiny bit from his prime, but he's still damn good. He was incredible tonight.

I wonder if he intends to make a push to 700. 2 more seasons should do it which isn't unreasonable. I don't expect he would stick around if they beat the Kings though.

Let's Go DEVILS! True Devils fans hate the Flyers more than the Rangers. Kind of like Chiefs fans hating the Donkeys more than the Fakers.

It is awesome that the road to the Finals had them beating the two hated rivals.

Sports biz on NBCSN actually just broke down that despite LA being a huge TV market they are a pretty poor NHL market, even by U.S. standards.

Where have all these Devil fans been in the hockey thread? Awesome knowing their are so many on this site.

I think that as much as people are gonna wanna talk about the goalies, its going to come down to one thing....who wins the forechecking war. Last series people talked about Lundvquist and Marty but the real battle was won with the forechecking, as the Devils have all playoffs long.

Quick will be more consistent but again I think the team that puts on the most pressure is going to win because both teams have 4 lines working and goalies that can make big saves at big moments. This is the first time either team will be facing a really agressive team all playoffs, although L.A. did get that in round 1.

Finally the Devils actually make a deep run after years of having the talent and getting knocked out early.

Sorry pr....there is always next season.
