***The Official STEAM/PC gaming thread, with STEAM ID's***

I've seen enough people around here discuss PC gaming and Steam deals, that it warrants a thread of it's own.

I will add STEAM ID's to the thread header.

I picked up Jade Empire: Special Edition today for 3.75. I figure it's an action RPG made by Bioware, can't be all that bad.

Also got Mr. Robot for 1.99 and COH: Tales of Valor for 7.49.

thecoffeeguy 12-29-2009 05:17 PM

Boy, am I embarrassed...

Mods, please delete my thread

Basileus777 12-29-2009 05:28 PM

Jade Empire is pretty average, but it's well worth it at that price. It's your standard Bioware RPG, but the fighting in the game isn't that good and it ends up being pretty button mashy. I played the Mr. Robot demo, and I felt the controls were really sluggish, so I decided not to buy it.

My Steam ID is : Basileus777

If there is enough people, we could always create a Chiefsplanet group.

Cool.

KC Jones = GoZar

yes as in the mother****ing Gozarian.

I have over the past 12+ years of gaming gone by: Heimdall, GoZar, DogMeat, and StayPuftMarshmallowMan.

Saulbadguy 12-30-2009 11:08 AM

DEALS are on!

I bought Max Payne and Max Payne 2 for 2.49 each. Also got the OSMOS game for 1.99.

I would have jumped all over the Civ 4 deals but I already have Physical and Steam copies of the game. Left 4 Dead is also 7.49.

I already own the original Civ 4 on disc, but $13 for the complete pack for just too good of a deal to pass up.

Take-Two seems determined to take my money every day this week.

Grabbed Max Payne 2 today, as well as Evil Genius, World of Goo and Splinter Cell, for like $11.00

Weak deals today IMO - I picked up Medieval II: Total War.

Basileus777 12-31-2009 12:22 PM

Didn't even notice that one...picked it up for 4.99. DirectX10 Required! :)

I see they fixed the price of Crysis Maximum Edition.

I'll send you a guest pass. Anyone else want a guest pass to Shattered Horizon?

Saulbadguy 12-31-2009 12:30 PM

They must have lowered the prices since this morning - everything is much cheaper now.

Saulbadguy 12-31-2009 12:32 PM

I also have a guest pass available for Killing Floor if anyone is interested.

Hammock Parties 12-31-2009 09:01 PM

Crysis and Crysis Warhead for 14 bucks together.

OWNAGE

Yeah but do you have Vista or Windows 7?

Hammock Parties 12-31-2009 10:21 PM

W7.

After reading that the MINIMUM requirements for it are near my system specs, apart from the fact I have a beefier 8800, I'm not sure I want it, though.

Hammock Parties 01-02-2010 11:53 AM

Morrowind on sale for 4.99 today.

I'd buy it if I didn't have the disc version.

However, if it was 2 bucks I'd probably buy it. LOL

Basileus777 01-02-2010 12:48 PM

Do the script/graphic extenders and such work for the Steam version of Morrowind without having to use a cracked .exe?

There's little point in buying the game if you can't use some of the better mods with it.

Yeah, I was kind of worried about this.

Saulbadguy 01-02-2010 04:32 PM

I bought it for 5 bucks - i've never played it.

This weekends deal is Serious Sam HD. The game has issues - but worth it for about $7 if you've never played it before.

Fritz88 01-08-2010 02:56 PM

Steam is going to ruin my life and take me back to PC gaming.

Hammock Parties 01-08-2010 03:03 PM

$6.79 for Serious Sam HD.

I love Steam.

Mount & Blade only $5 on Steam. If Medieval combat interests you, this is a no-brainer. You also get access to the MP beta, which is amazing.

The new Steam UI beta is up.

Portal is free on steam right now. Go ahead and register it now and keep it forever.

I like the Mac implementation they did. It seems that any existing games you've purchases will include the Mac copy of it provided it has the "Steam Play" icon on it.

Very cool. I played it on the 360 and loved it. Will download.

TrickyNicky 05-12-2010 04:09 PM

I would recommend you guys check out Mount & Blade: Warband if/when it gets a price reduction. There isn't any other game that does medieval multiplayer quite like it (w/o magic or fantasy elements).

Basileus777 06-24-2010 12:58 PM

There's a huge summer sale going on now.

TrickyNicky 06-24-2010 01:38 PM

Yep. Looking forward to piecing it together when it comes.

Has anyone purchased the Eidos pack for $75? Is it worth it?

TrickyNicky 06-29-2010 06:25 PM

Deus Ex GOTY $10
Deus Ex II $10
Supreme Commander 2 $22
Just Cause 2+DLC $58
Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY $40
Thief III $20
Last Remnant $40

I'd say if you have an interest in playing all of those, then it would definitely be worth it. The rest of the games are just filler

TrickyNicky 06-29-2010 06:44 PM

Since this is an unofficial valve thread:

I'm trying to convince myself but dropping another 75 bucks on games after forking out 600 for the system is hard. heh

I am getting COD MW2 for free with my purchase and already picked up Ghostbusters for 4 bucks.

I also already own Batman on PS3 so it is less of a plus.

I do need to pick up HL2 ep2 though.

Saulbadguy 07-02-2010 11:04 AM

Borderlands is $10 on Steam today!

007 07-02-2010 09:26 PM

Hey, are there any 2, 3, or 4 player games on Steam? I don't mean online multiplayer but actually 2 or more people playing a game on the same PC. We have one called Beat Hazard that my son loves and he wants to find more games that allow that.

Any help here?
