REP!!!

It is great..but I just love Blackout more than anything Tim Kasher has ever created. Such an amazingly depressing album..love it.

I had the good fortune to catch Cursive, Desaparecidos, and Small Brown Bike at Sokol Underground in Omaha..probably spring '03. Right after 'The Ugly Organ' dropped.

Cursive was monstrous, just amazing..and Small Brown Bike put on a great show..but Desaparecidos was fairly disappointing. Not Conor Oberst's best showing..oh well, caught him at Uptown with The Faint a couple years later and that was a great show.

That CD makes me think of being like 13 or 14 and hanging out at the swimming pool all day..doing bellyflops on the diving board for a dollar a piece.

Where they at, where they at, where they at....

If you wanna go and get high with me, smoke an L in the back of the Benz-e-e, oh why must I feel this way? Hey, must be the money.

Do it. You won't regret it, it's a great album.

I've been kinda stuck in a time warp the last couple of years..I think I've bought maybe 2 CD's in the last 4 years or so. I need to get outta that rut.

We seem to have similar tastes..any new(er) bands you recommend?

Oh, and BTW..listening to

The Appleseed Cast - Hello Dearest Love

Gonna follow it up with some Explosions In The Sky.

Buehler445 04-16-2009 09:40 AM

Heh.

Ipod popped up "Scotty doesn't know" by Lustra from the Eurotrip movie. Still makes me chuckle.

Amazing piece(but what Godspeed track isn't?), but I'm pretty partial to "Providence" myself.
