I figured I'd make this the official sign up thread because I will be able to edit it. I'll try and get everyone who said they were coming back from the other thread. If you can...just say it in this thread to make sure I don't miss anyone.

Alternates. There are already a couple of spots open this year for new people. Speak up and put your name down as an alternate. You should also post why you think yyou'd be a good edition. Posting 80 times in this thread about how you want in is probably not a good idea.

I'll work on updating this with all the names from last year and then bold the ones who are returning.

Sure. I'd like to throw my name in. I love following the draft. I've been doing so for almost half my life. The first prospect I really liked was Ryan Sims (instant credibility). I watch a lot of SEC and Big 12 college ball, and try to catch the Pac-12 when I can. You'll often find me in DaKCawesome's college football threads, though not usually with any decent insight.

I did the alt draft two or three years ago as Lemon Pie, and though it was not well functioning, I stuck through it and dominated in least time per pick. My picks that year weren't great, and I had a few guys slide in the draft, but I'd like to take another shot in the real thing.

As usual, I'd like the Falcons and I wouldn't be opposed to having the Jets as my other team.

I'd like to be in, people who played the sandbox with me know I am good at building a team on there. I study a lot of the players and love mock drafting. I would take any team and wouldn't care who it is.

I've been in the CP Mock since 2007.

I was in the original one that happened before this crew got together.

I think whoman69 was the original lead dog on it. We scheduled a time when everybody could monitor the thread on CP and did it in 1-2 days. Unfortunately I had a family emergency right in the middle of things and had to leave for most of my picks. I didn't get going on it again until I jumped in some years later.

Can't remember the year. It may have been 2002 or 2003.

2007 sounds about right for me. Can't wait for the Senior Bowl next week. That's when the fun really begins.

I'd like to be in on this as an alternate.

I will post my draft classes from last year's CP alternate mock. If I suck at it, then I should be judged accordingly.

Just an idea for future mock openings...

It seems that the last two years, there has been a full alt mock...maybe we offer openings to the highest scores from that mock.

As for the guys requesting a spot right now and how much I've noticed about them entering into conversations about college players...I'd have to say Maverick and O.City are the two that would probably give us the best representation for the teams they would be drafting for.

My main concern is if both of them understand the timeframe parameters and would be readily available to keep the mock rolling along smoothly. If that concern is cleared, I'd say those two are the best prospective gms.

well i've said I'm interested I also was on the original then was not able to get on computer because of work. I was left off and for some reason was never able to get back in. Last year I ran the alt draft and ran a pretty smooth 7 rounds. I'd really like to do this mock again all I"m asking for is a chance.

IMO, those are the guys that would best represent those open slots ...maverick as the alternate for DJ, not a REAL Chiefs fan knocks him down below the other two, but dude watches college ball and participates in conversations about the college game frequently.

1b) what qualifications you might have (how many college games do you watch per week, how long have you been following the draft, etc)

1c) which NFL teams do you watch the most?

1d) have you followed a CP Mock (TM) previously? If so, tell us what intrigues you about it.


2a) are you able to submit a mandatory, one time registration fee of 25 dollars (donated to the site) if a spot is offered to you?

2b) will you be able to also put a 10 dollar security deposit for us to find a replacement on short notice in case you become unavailable? (This is only refundable in cc once the mock is completed without any unnecessary delays in making your selections. Questions about this can be directed at the op or myself, depending on availability.)

2c) there is a 5 dollar filing fee that is non refundable and in no way ensures you a spot in the event.



3a) would you be available to make your picks in a timely manner. We run a tight ship and don't want any flakes involved (sans myself and direcshun) the time frames for how we run this are easily searchable if you need further clarification on this.

3b) are you able to form your own "big board" so that you can have multiple preselected prospects available to make your selection with and forwarded to other embers so that your picks can be made more efficiently? This will aid in your chances at selection.

3c) bribes to myself and other members of the mock won't hurt your chances or in any way cause you to be removed from consideration.

I used to be tambaberry, I didn't really post that much then I posted a stupid thread about the Broncos playing us after their bye week and that was wrong, I took a bunch of crap from that.

tambaberry would be a good addition as well if he performs like his Sandbox team.

No waiting for FA period to settle down? I'd wait until around 2 weeks after FA period to do the mock just to see which teams will fill some holes through FA first.

The draft starts later this year, but in the past we've had this thing started up and rocking by mid-March. There are a lot of picks to get through, and that takes time, so it's always good to have a buffer zone.

It's March 10 and we don't even know who the owners will be, much less have we picked the ****ing teams even.

It looks like as of right now.....we have 2 full time spots open and currently 2 temporary replacement spots open. If you're picked for a temporary replacement spot then whenever ChiefsCountry or DJ's LeftNut come back...you'll be giving up ownership of that team to them. Understood?
