KU Haters get your loss rep
I'm a KU fan, but we really choked this one away. Non-KU fans, lay it to us in this thread and get some rep while you're at it. It's only fair.

I don't often watch basketball, let alone College basketball, but wow.
|
TCU..TCU...OH SORRY....WOLVERINES...WOLVERINES...LOL
|
dude it was a good game.
|
At least we did get a good game out of it. I don't feel heartbroken like other seasons, so that's a bonus.
|
Count me in as a hater.
|
It was a great game.No dog in the KU vs. anyone fight.
Looks like Johnson screwed you guys royally. Up 5 with 21 seconds left, you shouldn't lose. Tough one KU. |
No reason to talk shit. I'd be pissed beyond belief if that was the Chiefs in the playoffs.

This is a safe place for fans of other teams. KU fans can't argue with you after what we just did. Go ahead, let it all out.
|
Eh, I only hate KU during football these days.

As a Buckeye fan I know the pain of choking in big games. Sorry KU fans, great season.

Elijah pulled a Pressey . . . . sorry.

Hey good season. Maybe if you're lucky Wichita State will find a way to schedule you next year, you know, to give a boost to your program!

Sucks to play that well for that much of the game and still lose. We did pretty much everything they set out to do and still came up short.
Still a season to be proud of, I don't care what anyone says. |
Neville Chamberlain.
Richard Nixon. Elijah Johnson. |
Okay.. I'm cutting Elijah Johnson some slack. They're KIDS... it's not like they're pros... This kids gave it their all this year. To all the KU seniors thanks for a great season and great careers. Tough loss but we will be back next year for our 10th straight title.
|
There is less bashing in this thread than I anticipated.

The KU game made me kind of sick, as they had it under control and got sloppy at the end of regulation to give MU a chance. |

Good year ku fans..... I knew you'd lose though...
|
Every year, I think, "Crap, we're going to be weak next year" (after losing talent to NBA)........and then, one of the best coaches in the biz gets his kids to overachieve and win 9 conference titles in a row.
SHould KU have won? Yep. Am I bummed? Yep. Was it a disappointing season? Hell no. Love to see the haters crawl out of the woodwork and live out their fantasies through other teams. Comes with the territory. no big deal. Kudos to Michigan for not packing it in and folding up shop. |
I'm a Ku hater first.
Chiefs/Royals/Bulls/Tigers fan second. |
Condolences

I just pretend its payback for the 2008 comeback. As joyful as I was for that, something had to balance it out and make me feel equally TERRIBLE. Come on sports gods, it took you 5 years? Guess they wanted to get me when I didnt see it coming. Smart.

Michigan sees KU team as trash talkers after last night:
http://www.kansascity.com/2013/03/30...s-witheys.html Michigan's McGary rewards Withey's trash talk with big effort By MARK SNYDER AND MICK MCCABE Detroit Free Press ARLINGTON, Texas — Before they lay down to sleep in their Dallas hotel room Thursday night, Mitch McGary threw one last thought to his best friend. "Did you hear what he said about me?" McGary asked, referring to Kansas center Jeff Withey, a third-team All-American who was described by many as the potential game-changer in Friday's regional semifinal. "He said I wasn't excited about his height, I didn't think anything about his height. I expect to dominate him." Glenn Robinson III looked back and gave the only answer he could: "We'll show him." McGary, the freshman, made Withey, the senior, pay for the disrespect with 25 points and 14 rebounds in 35 minutes in Michigan's 87-85 overtime win over Kansas. Withey had just 12 points and eight rebounds, only impacting the game with his five blocks and getting schooled by a freshman. "It's the NCAA tournament," McGary said after the game. "I'm not going to back down against anybody." Robinson was not surprised by McGary, who has now carried Michigan through three tournament games as the best player and saved the Wolverines in Friday's first half. "When he stays aggressive like that and attacks like that, who knows what this kid can do?" Robinson said. It was the right time. "With this atmosphere, this stage, the Sweet 16, you're not going to get any better unless you're in the Final Four and that's what we're trying to do," McGary said. The Wolverines looked to be in serious trouble at halftime. Why? Because little-used Spike Albrecht had outscored teammate Trey Burke, 3-0. "That's not a good sign, but he killed in the second half," Albrecht said of Burke. "We knew he wasn't going to have two bad halves. He was in the first half kind of observing, taking what the defense gave him. He just needed to be more aggressive and he went off in the second half." LOW BLOW: Elijah Johnson was whistled for a flagrant foul less than two minutes into the game when he hit McGary in the, uh, sensitive man-area. "They said I had a flagrant, I guess I hit him," Johnson said. "He dropped and they hit me with a technical." GUARDING TREY: Kevin Young, 6-foot-8, had switched onto the 6-foot Trey Burke just before Burke buried his three-point shot far beyond the three-point line to send the game into overtime. "I knew he could shoot from that far out," Young said. "I did a horrible job stepping out on the screen. I didn't contest it as well as I should have." Nik Stauskas on Burke's shot: "It was an unbelievable shot. That's Trey Burke for you. He's one of the best players in this country and that's a big-time shot that he hit." "He pulled up really deep. He was a good 7 or 8 feet from the three-point line. I wasn't expecting him to shoot from that far. Just the trajectory of the ball, it looked good from the time he released it." |
