Much ta-do about nothing.....Seen some rotation at my house in South Liberty but no drop down ...pretty much over....I think these weather guys like to induce mass hysteria..

I think they've done a pretty good job, they've made note that these tornadoes are not likely to be strong and will in all probability be brief. Nonetheless, still need to be wary and away from any windows.

I would agree, it hasn't been the typical over-hyped reporting. At least from I've seen.

Bugeater 07-06-2015 05:25 PM

Again? Shit, it's been boring up here, not even a good severe thunderstorm yet this year. Just a lot of rain.

seclark 07-06-2015 05:28 PM

raining like a bitch outside right now. lost my sat.

Independence is flooded bad. We had about four to five inches of rain in about an hour and a half. I have water rushing across the floor in my basement.

gblowfish 07-06-2015 05:49 PM

Royals game is cancelled. The dugouts are flooded. Double header tomorrow.

I agree that everybody needs to be warned about strong storms and flooding... I just grew up in a time where everyone wasn't such a pussy about the weather....

KCrockaholic 07-06-2015 06:40 PM

Don't you have kids to chase off the lawn?

srvy 07-07-2015 11:47 AM

I sat on the patio and watched it all with sirens blaring. Went inside when the rain started coming down sideways.
Who are these trained spotters? I went in turned on tv and they said there was rotation spotted in Pleasant Valley Rd and I-35. The way it was raining nobody could see that. I live right by Penguin Park in the Northland seems it developed just east of us. Never did go down to the basement kids and wife did.

This is Independence last night. This is a few blocks north of my house. No wonder I had water in my basement this morning!
