Viagra is a PED who knew?
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...agra-as-a-ped/
At a time when many football fans are wondering why the NFL keeps suspending players for using Adderall as a performance-enhancing drug, Bears receiver Brandon Marshall says there’s another common prescription medication that players use to get an edge: Marshall says he has heard stories of other players using Viagra as a performance enhancer. Yes, he means on the football field. Get your mind out of the gutter. According to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times, Marshall told reporters today that he has heard stories of other players using Viagra to get an edge. Marshall isn’t the first to hear about that: A 2008 Slate article noted that Viagra works by dilating blood vessels and increasing oxygenation, which means it could improve athletic performance, particularly at elevation. If you’re playing a game in Denver — where Marshall spent his first four NFL seasons — and you want to reduce the effects of playing at altitude on your body, popping a Viagra could help. Or a road trip to Denver could be a convenient excuse for a player filling a Viagra prescription. |
Once the league gets wind of this they will ban viagra. Can't have anyone finding an advantage of ANY kind......./sarcasm
|
Shaun Smith think players should be able to use it.
|
Only the Donks would come up with this shit. LMAO
|
this must be how Manning went from brokedick QB to possible NFL MVP.
|
It seems like you can find better things to do with Viagra, cooking spray, and under-the-table cash than play football.
|
Well now if we see players with hard ons running for TDs then we know theyre Viagraing hahaha. Cue shaun smith
|
I'm having a hard time understanding how this would work. But the competition at many of these positions is pretty stiff, so I imagine a lot of bench players will try anything to penetrate the starting lineup.

Weight Lifting and physical training are performance enhancing.
Please BAN these rediculas activities NFL! *sigh*... the NFL is such a joke now. |
FYI... There are absolutely no humorous pictures when Googling the terms "Football Player Erection". Nothing even close. I thought there might be a funny pic to add to this thread. But no. Uh uhhh. Dear Alvis WTF was I thinking......

I was under the impression an erection was a side effect in the original research.

I've used both viagra and cialis. I can tell you bitches have not. You don't take it, and just get a hard on. It still requires stimulus. It's just that if your pecker does not work, and you get some stimulus, it will.
I found viagra to give me a ****ing headache and make me stuffy like I had a cold. Cialis? Much better. For those that wonder why I would be taking it? Because you can **** for 9 hours on that shit. And well, I love ****in. Testosterone will make you like that, ya know? |
POS cheating donks. Knew they were frauds.

You see, it's helpful to have a stiffy at the bottom of the pile during a fumble. Ppl will freak out leaving you all alone to secure the football.

As for the effect, it's unlikely that the effect is noticeable outside of hypoxic environments. And that effect is likely to bring the individual back to normal, so not technically enhancing. It's not like EPO, where actual hematopoiesis is upregulated, thus leading to actual performance enhancement. |
