MOAR Mark Castle.

KCrockaholic 09-25-2013 06:50 AM

Do they really want to see Casshole?

Consistent1 09-25-2013 07:03 AM

The ****ed up thing is that Cassell will probably throw for 350 yards and 3 TD's. lol

Ponder's questionable every day.

Earthling 09-25-2013 07:05 AM

Even though my viewing pleasure of Cassel is incomplete I will pass on watching that game; not even getting out of the sack.

What's hilarious is that we could easily write a bio for Cassel, using selected true facts, that makes him look like a QB god.

No, he won't...

If you saw him this preseason you wouldn't even think about saying that.

cassel = 0-4

Consistent1 09-25-2013 07:22 AM

Cassell is just not predictable at all. He had some great games when Brady was out. Comes to the Chiefs does ok at times and just completely sucks at other times. He is like bipolar football.

Like i just said, he sucks bad at times, and then all the sudden is pretty decent at certain times. Just a complete wildcard.

A lot of people don't seem to remember pre-2012 Cassel... he had some good games against shitty teams, and you don't even have to include the Patriots (Tyler Palko probably could have had a decent game or two on that team) or garbage time (like the 400+ yard game against Denver). He may never get that back, but who knows, he could once again aspire to become mediocre with flashes of competence.

And hell, all it took around here to call Smith a huge upgrade was a couple of 20 yard drives against Jacksonville, so Vikings fans would probably want Cassel starting if he's capable of winning a game, regardless of stats.

Pasta Little Brioni 09-25-2013 07:48 AM

Same here. I told mine he'll be BEGGING for Ponder to start again after 3 weeks. In any case, the Vikings are DONE. You CAN'T win in the NFL with QB's like that.

As PATHETIC as Ponder / Cassel is, that dynamic duo is still not as bad as Cassel / Quin. Almost, but not quite.

chefsos 09-25-2013 08:21 AM

I think we mustn't forget that they looked on in horror as Joe Webb "led" their team in a playoff game last year. Ol' Matty probably looks pretty good in comparison.

I need to see him play for another team to really convince myself that asshole is gone for ****ing good in this town.

Pasta Little Brioni 09-25-2013 09:16 AM

Hilarious seeing him go up against that boob Haley and the Squeelers. Two turds for the price of one in that game.

lcarus 09-25-2013 09:23 AM

Let it be. I have Pittsburgh D.

Titty Meat 09-25-2013 09:45 AM

Minnesota "took a chance" and Frazier will likely get fired.

Rain Man 09-25-2013 09:48 AM

Matt Cassel versus the high-flying Todd Haley offensive machine.

This may be worth flying to Las Vegas to bet the under. The only risk in that is that there could be a lot of defensive touchdowns.

Halfcan 09-25-2013 09:52 AM

I hate to see the steelers win but also hate the vikes-so I just hope for a tough brutal game with practically no scoring. Just a sloopy worthless smash fest. With the Vikes jared allen geting 3 sacks. Steelers and Haley going 0-4 should pretty much eliminate them from the playoffs.

You don't think Minnesota will win behind Cassel and his 212 yards and 1 TD? Leaving them to stick with him because "Hey he won the game". Same shit that happened to us.

He probably gets fired anyway if they dick around with Tarvaris Jacksons or Matt Flynns or whatever other "safe" options they would have deemed better for the franchise.

Mark Kasl may get first start in Minnesota

I will most definitely be watching that game if he does indeed get the start.

http:// http://espn.go.com/nfl/story...lity-uncertain

Quote:

WATFORD, England --*Minnesota*quarterback Christian Ponder was able to take the majority of the Vikings' practice snaps on Thursday, and was able to throw with extra padding around his ribs. But if Ponder's rib injury is still limiting him after Friday's practice, the team could name Matt Cassel the starter for Sunday.

Frazier said Cassel took the majority of practice snaps Wednesday and pointed out that "we signed Matt Cassel for occasions like this -- if something were to happen to Christian."

Despite the team being 0-3 and the third-year starter struggling, Frazier rejected the notion that Ponder's injury presents a convenient reason to switch quarterbacks.

"It's purely circumstantial if that happens," Frazier said. "I don't know if there's any logic in there. We want Christian to play. We want him to get out there and continue to grow and develop as a quarterback."

Considering that the main concern Ponder raised Wednesday was his ability to handle contact, the Vikings probably won't be able to put him through a full test in practice this week.

Ponder said he wore extra padding on his ribs for several games in college and seemed comfortable with the idea of doing it again Sunday.

"It was better [on Thursday than Wednesday]," Ponder said. "I definitely did a lot more than we expected to. We've been getting a lot of treatment. Hopefully, it's healing. I'll keep getting more reps [on Friday], and we'll have to sit down with [trainer Eric Sugarman] and Coach [Frazier] and make a call."

I'll bet those Viking fans that are calling for him to start are basing their feelings on the '08 Patriots version of Cassel. They're probably disregarding his 4 years of pathetic football here in KC.
