Players you like that the Chiefs won't draft
this is really just a way of asking which players you like in the draft, beyond the obvious one's the Chiefs might be looking at...
I mostly watch sec and big 12, so there are a ton of players I know nothing about, particularly in later rounds... but, to the premise...players the Chiefs are unlikely to draft due to round or need....so I love ogletree from UGA (ILB)...he was just coming into his own at the end of the year, and will have a longer more productive career than Jones (and clowns te'o) he isn't a need like QB,CB,S and is being mocked mid-first (but if he slipped, I'd take him) |
D'Andre Hopkins WR. Clemson. He may make it to the top of round 2 so they may actually get this guy. WR is, IMO, the 2nd most needed position on team, even if Bowe is resigned.

Wide receiver is about 8th on the list. |
I think the appropriate answer is: all of the good ones.

Dion Sims, TE, MSU

While I really like Baldwin/Breaston/Bowe and think Dexter can play a role for us, I think we would be foolish to gamble with our current crop of receivers if we have a chance at grabbing another premier weapon in the second or third. |
Id like to see us sign Keary Williams and go after another position in the draft
|
Damontre Moore.
Amazing pass rusher, outstanding run stopper. Solid coverage skills. If we had a QB already I'd want this guy at 1. |
Jesse Williams
|
TE Ertz, Stanford.

Either would be great pickups, IMO. Gonna take draft picks to acquire Harvin, only cash for Wallace. |

off topic, but i think cyrus gray could benefit from Reid, and is a solid skill set for a WC offense... |

My homer pick this year for WR is Oregon State's Markus Wheaton. He is very fast (he beat Oregon's De'Anthony Thomas in the 100 meter during track season) with very good hands. He is also an outstanding teammate and hasn't ever had any off field problems. I think he compares favorably to a little bigger Desean Jackson.

I don't think we need a WR myself. We need one of the X factor guys that can line up anywhere. You know like Dexter McCluster, only not sucky. |

Arthur Brown, but the need for ILB stronger. It would be nice if they could pick him up as Hali is not going to be around forever, nor is DJ.
But Pioli screwed off so many picks, the team is still behind and isn't in a position to draft depth. |

We need a matchup problem. |
Not saying I want this guy, but figured this is a good thread for it. Jeremy Reeves from Iowa State is pretty good, his only problem is height. That's probably the only reason he ended up at ISU because everyone thought he was too short. He was able to overcome it in the Big12, but the NFL would be a lot harder. Like a 42" vert though that's what's helped him overcome it. Likely undrafted. Last year him and Leonard Johnson were like our Carr and Flowers. One game one was the best CB, the next the other guy was.

Ogletree - he's a converted safety who is a 4-3 MLB. He doesn't fit in a 3-4 defense.

He will come into this team with a bunch of other receivers that he needs to establish a chemistry with. Baldwin could end up being his fav receiver for all we know. Don't waste picks on "toys" unless you already know Geno needs one. We need a CB and safety first. |
