Bloody-Disgusting learned this weekend that Universal Pictures has officially begun casting for Jurassic Park IV, which will film in Kauai, Hawaii later this year! Laura Dern confirmed her return to the franchise as Dr. Ellie Sattler here as Sam Neill will NOT return. We're told that the film is about the government who has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes. Based on the I can now safely declare that this franchise has entered 'ridiculous sequel mode'. Watch for more news soon.

Thats a good point. The studios will continue to turn out this crap until people stop paying to see it. They know they dont even have to try and come up with a decent script. They can just half ass it and the fan boys will continue to go to the theaters like zombies....

I remember reading about a spec script with underground dinosaur fighting rings and super-intelligent raptors with weapons. Truly before its time.

This film has stalled once again. No production start up or release date is imminent.

Personally I'm still waiting for Jaws 19.

I heard about that but I'll believe it when I see it. They've been plagued with issues for years. I'd love to see it but I'm skeptical until they're actually filming.

From what I heard about one version of the script, those were included.

No, this one will be called "The Quest for Peace." The dinosaurs will have to take on Gene Hackman, Jon Cryer and Nuclear Man.
