****THE OFFICIAL DRAFT TYLER BRAY THREAD****
Because it just might happen...
I know we have Bray threads...but we need an "OFFICIAL" one... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VwvGZmotfBI?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> **EDIT** I am talking about selecting him in the 2nd round as I do not think we draft a QB with the #1 overall pick*** |
I think he'll be drafted, high. But, if he were to fall and we were going to do the Redskins and draft a backup as well Bray would be the one I'd want.
|
I stated in another thread that I am starting to accept the fact that we probably aren't going to pick a QB in the first. This regime should not be judged off of one draft pick. Now if we are still looking for a franchise QB in a couple of seasons and Wilson/Smith are making runs in the playoffs, that's another story...
I think it's time to start anticipating us drafting one of the 2nd/3rd rnd graded QBs. That said...I would be happy if we selecting Bray in either of these round. Even if he has queer-ass tattoo across his back... |

Pass on QB in the first and draft one in early in the 2nd round. |

That clip kind of shows what some scouting reports have noted, needs to work on his accuracy, as sometimes misses "high". Everything else, I like about him...
|
Someone post that douchey tattoo he has.
|
Bray's ceiling is sky high, and I've stated on here many times that I like him as a prospect.
HOWEVER, when you hold the #1 overall pick you have to get the best player available at the most important position. We have to get our hands on the best QB prospect in the draft, and I don't think that's Bray. The biggest question for me with Bray isn't his maturity level (cause I'll never, ever know that), but it's whether all the losing in Knoxville was his fault, or his dumbass coach. It's entirely possible that Bray was held way back by a shit coaching staff and he's better than we've seen.... |

People are fooling themselves if they think that Dorsey isn't going to pick the BPA or if they think Geno is the BPA...

Mel Kiper isn't being paid millions by a team to make that call you know... |

The position alone will raise him a long with all of the workouts. Frankly the only thing Geno Smith has to worry about is another one of the QB's passing him. |

When can we expect the Colin Klein thread, Mr. Tomahawk?

The only thing Geno Smith has to worry about is another QB passing him, physically he doesn't have flaws so he should workout great, Tyler Wilson I'd say is similar in that regard. Their worry should be that Matt Barkley who doesn't have the same talent and does have a few physical flaws will likely interview better as he wins intangibles..
So what does a team prefer? |

If you put a lot of stock into Bucky's and WalterFootball's mock drafts...go for it. But most mocks I see, Geno isn't the consensus #1. |

Matt Ryan is worth more than all 3 of those players combined. |

Much like these "OFFICIAL" ****ing threads. Colin Klein is this year's Kaepernick, don't you know? Start the thread!!! |

Is anyone willing to put a signature bet on it for the offseason...?
If we draft Geno with the #1 overall pick...you can have right to my signature for the remainder of the offseason. If we don't draft Geno #1 overall...I get rights to your signature for the offseason. I am confident we will not take Geno #1 overall....how confident are you all? It is kind of the premise of this whole thread. |

I used to like the 3rd one that came out the day before the draft by that guy that used to write for the Dallas Morning News. But he was uber connected, so his was quite a bit different. |
John Dorsey, Andy Reid and Clark Hunt will not draft a 21 year old kid with maturity issues at #1 overall.
No ****ing way. |
ROFL
Signature bets are about as awesome as "OFFICIAL" threads. You've trumped yourself, sir. |

It may not be Geno Smith but I think it's a QB, it'll all shake out.

Waiting for a Genobator to take my bet....
|

Because I don't think the new regime takes a QB, let alone Geno at #1? Brilliant. |

So what if they take Barkley? Then does everyone lose the bet?

Probably the worst signature bet proposal ever.

Gtfo with that shit. |

I am saying we are probably not going to draft a QB with the #1 overall...so start looking at 2nd/3rd rnd prospects [hence the thread]. Posters are coming in inferring that it's a stupid thought because Geno the #1 prospect and we are in need of a QB. I simply do not agree.... They are willing to argue that he is the BPA at #1 but no one is willing to agree to a simple signature bet for the offseason...? |
Why would ANYONE do a signature bet before more workouts and the combine?
If you can find a sucker, by all means. |

After the combine and interviews, Bray WILL be in the mix for our top pick. And it's going to be a qb no matter what.
|
And for the record - I don't think they draft a QB at #1.
But, I would love to be wrong -- more so than ever. |

At least we're not talking about him at #1. (yet) Guy badly needed another year.

For me, way too early to tell. If I had to guess -- and this is going totally against what I would rather them do -- I would venture to guess they'd go the FA route this year and take a flier on a QB in the mid rounds. |

But he's just like weeden right? Same type of prospect?

That is how I feel...hence this thread. Now you can go manage the Collin Klein thread and I will do the same here... ;) |

As a kirk cousins type, yes.
|
For those just reading the OP and hitting reply...im talking about drafting him 2nd or 3rd rnd.
Eh... Guess this doesnt work either if the OP is the only post read. Cool points for me. |
Tyler Bray is going in the first round. Chiefs, Eagles, Raiders, and Cardinals definitely need new quarterbacks. Both the Chargers and Browns, with new regimes in place, could potentially look for new quarterbacks as well.

I liked the song back in the day, just seems like an odd choice for a sig. |

Smith/Wilson/Glennon/Barkley are the only ones I see going in the 1st. And I only think 3 of them go in the 1st tops. Last year's 1st rnd class along with the '11 class was strange...usually you see 2 maybe 3 qbs selected in the 1st rnd. |
