2nd rnd. Geno, Wilson, Barkley, Glennon gone...
Given Dorseys comments the other day about not being a clear cut QB at #1....lets assume we do not draft a QB in the 1st and say Geno, Wilson, Glennon, and Barkley are gone by the 2nd rnd.
Who do you think we go after [qb] and in what rnd? |
Won't matter we will be ****ed.

It doesn't matter. Just draft another lineman or something.
|
In Tomahawk's scenario he hasn't been taken. That's the direction I would go if things shake down that way.

Oh. In that case, panic and take a DT.

Anyone but EJ
|
Bray in 3 rd?

I would be willing to bet all of these QBs aren't gone round 1.
|
I'm assuming you mean Wilson since you have Geno and Smith :)
|
If they are all gone, I think I hope like hell that Foles is already on the roster...
|
Dysert in round 3-4, providing we traded or signed a free agent "supposedly" starter.

But if they go for Foles, he's so young it kind of makes picking a QBOTF redundant. |
But what about Stanzi.....
What about 'Merica |
My money is they all won't go in round one. Long shot, but plausible.
|
We'll know the plan well before the draft. We'll have a veteran most likely, and we'll know the direction for the first pick. It won't be an, "Oh no! We missed out on the QB, and now they're all gone!" situation, at least from their perspective. If they don't take a QB first, they're fully prepared for the top 2,3 or 4 to be gone and they're fine with that. If they want one of the QBs they'll get one of the QBs.

Don't hate because Stanzi is going to be a dishwasher somewhere in a couple of seasons... |
Personally, I think only 2 of those QB's go in round 1. But given your scenario, with Glennon gone, we don't grab a QB until later. A camp arm.
Alex Smith, Nick Foles or Matt Flynn will be our QB next year. |
LOL
I guess Stanzi just can't figure out the real estate game like Brodie Croyle |
If that happens, then **** all the QBs.
Take something else. Start Stanzi for the year. Suck another year. Maybe in 2014, Dorsey won't be a such a huge ****ing idiot. |

You can always trade back into the first round.

There would still be some good options left. Hopefully we'd have Alex Smith or Foles on the roster to give whomever a chance to develop though.
|
Can't you idiots see? The media doesn't want to have to talk about the Chiefs in a positive light, they want the top QB to go somewhere else so they can fawn over him there. They hate talking Chiefs....LMAO I'm laughing but it just seems weird that when we get the pick, there is no QB that's good and I feel that is bullshit.

I've given this some thought, and I've reached the conclusion that I won't give flying rat's **** what they do in the second roud, or beyond.
|
I won't care. I'll be a 49ers fan at that point
|
Nassib
|
If that happens just draft a ****ing cornerback and hope you can trade into the top 10 next year for a QB.

OK, I'm not saying Stanzi as a starter. Just saying he is probably better than the idiots in the last regime thought. |

Finally, somebody tells the bottom line truth. Why did it take so long to get a first down here? |

Here is what we do
@nfldraftscout: If #Chiefs want my opinion: Sign/trade for Alex Smith. Draft Matt Scott in Round 5. Cut Cassell. Sign Bowe. Draft Joeckel. |
Who is Matt Scott?
|
Arizona qb

They'll throw the exact same childish tantrum if the Chiefs are set on taking a QB at 1. |

I might prefer Tyson Jackson running the wildcat. |
Makers Mark. And Im in AA...

We should hire Scott Pioli as a college scout and let him run our draft board.
|
If that happens don't take one at all this year. Just **** the QB position once again like we always do.
Why get the 5th best QB in an already supposedly "weak" class? It makes no sense at all. |
Take Tyler Bray so we can enjoy the epic meltdown. We might as well be entertained if we're not gonna win.
|
Bray will be gone by the time you draft. So don't even.
|
Ryan Nassib
|
I would take Joekel in the first so we can move Albert to Guard. Then, I would take a guard in the second so we can move Albert to Center.

It looks to me like 80% of the teams in the top 10 picks are in desperate need of a QB

This search for mythical "value" is about as silly as it gets... |

Normally the team drafts too late to get a QB now they are drafting too early. :banghead:
|
said it before ...
if we don't take a QB at #1 then we MUST have a plan in place to trade back up into the 1st round and grab the guy we want. The difficult question is knowing how far the QB's will fall. |
Yea guys, we can time the market and get out just in time! [/techbubble investors]

If the Chiefs determine that there just isn't a QB worth the #1 or that they just have to have some other guy at #1 then they need a plan to trade up in place. what would trading up from #34 to 13-18ish cost? assuming that Geno/Wilson won't be considered top 10 or they would just draft him at #1 so they would both fall to the middle of the 1st round fairly 'safely' |
