A question:

When does free agency start? And are we allowed to give contract extensions to current players?

Not counting draft picks or free agents I'm about to sign, there will be a whopping TWO players on my team who will have contracts in 2014. That's a pretty big problem if I can't extend guys.

This was one of the problems with the contracts some people signed really low contracts so they could go all out in free agency before last season. There were also people who did nothing.

You could extend 2 players before the draft. Too late now, but I'm pretty sure I sent you a PM telling you about the extension opportunity.

You have a pretty big bank roll for free agency. You can sign a lot of players there, including some of your old guys. If someone wins a former player of yours in free agency you'll have a final opportunity to retain them with a contract 1 year longer than the contract determined by the bidding process.

The previous owner of his team signed short contracts, then didn't do anything with all that FA cash. Made it really difficult for SNR.

Yeah, I used both of the 5 year extensions on current free agents. That's at least a relief that I'll get the final say on all of the free agents i want to keep. And I've got a shit ton of cash.

As Day 1 of the draft comes to an end, Anchorage has added one player, DT Kawann Short, to the roster. The team gave up their 1st round pick last year to obtain DE4 Charles Johnson. The team will be more active on Day Two as its third-round pick swiftly approaches. The world awaits the news.
