What's amazing is that LeBron's already 11th in 9 years (and only 7 postseasons because he had the misfortune of playing for bad Cavs teams at the beginning of his career). Just two more postseasons like his last one and he'll be past Magic. A third and he's right there with MJ. Of course, that's all easier said than done.

has Kobe played as many (or more?) playoff games than MJ?

Yes.

Hootie 01-29-2013 12:09 AM

and Jemele Hill wrote an article saying Kobe was better than MJ...

JFC

how does she get paid? I usually don't bash on columnists but that was the worst article I've ever read to date.

KC_Connection 01-29-2013 12:14 AM

MJ played 179 playoff games (for 39.76 win shares). Kobe has played 220 (for 28.26). And LeBron is at 115 (for 24.35).

One of those is not like the other, I think everyone would have to agree.

Hootie 01-29-2013 12:26 AM

the only thing the win shares doesn't really take into account (there should be a multiplier) is insane clutch moments down the stretch that MJ made a career out of ESPECIALLY in the postseason.

So there is some chatter, probably just idiot sports radio and newspaper writers, but talk of Bosh to the Lakers for Howard. As a Heat fan, I really don't know what to think of it. Adding Howard makes even more scary defensive team, but it would screw up the team chemistry.

That doesn't even make any sense for either team.

KC_Connection 01-29-2013 12:54 AM

Don't see Miami trading a core piece like Bosh after winning a championship. They're doing fine right now.

okcchief 01-29-2013 12:56 AM

Give the Heat that cancer injection :)

They dont let him, he just does it. Each and every starter on the Lakers, Well counting Pau instead of Earl Clark has been THE man on a team during their career. Steve Nash has been the Man for many many years, Same with Kobe, Pau in Memphis and Dwight in Orlando. Ron Artest was really really good when he was Indian Ron, he was the man on that team and then in Sac and Houston. So, these guys come with Ego's each and every one of them.

Hell, even Tim Duncan does, Kobe was on Espn LA today talking about TIm Duncan the other day talking shit then Kobe said he had to shut him up cause he has 5 rings. lol

That makes absolutely no sense at all and i doubt the trade would work, because it would be a Sign and Trade for Howard and he would get maxed and i dont think Bosh is a max player.

Also, that would just be stupid, Lakers need Defense, not a weak ass power forward, they have Gasol for that.

So it sounds like my Grizz are pushing hard to dump Rudy Gay. In theory, I'm fine with this. He's overpaid, and depending on what they get back, losing him doesn't necessarily make them worse. However, it feels like the Raptors are just about the only team willing to take him in trade, and they have the nerve to make Terence Ross untouchable in such a trade. Huh? I like Ross, but he's still very green and unproven. If you trade for Gay and you already have DeRozan, what's the point to keeping Ross?

Colangelo is an idiot trying to save his job trying to hype up his shitty product with a slightly different version of same garbage. This is the guy that built his entire team around the idea that Andrea Bargnani was a star player and gave DeMar DeRozan a $40M contract based on jack shit. Is there any doubt that he would overrate a player like Ross (who I actually find interesting but only because he's young and could still become something unlike most of the rest of that awful roster)?

There's little more than needs to be said about this rumored move than that. Just be grateful that the Scott Pioli of the NBA is out there willing to take Rudy Gay's contract off the Grizz's hands for no good reason.
