No, I guess it will have to stay on Fox. There's profit to be made. No way they give it up without a heavy duty rights fee.

I know fox owns a few cable tv channels like FX, now days Cable Channels are putting up better ratings then network channels. lol

I was thinking the Premium channels. Maybe they owned starz, the movie channel or something.

That show has been all over the place and not even close to what it started out as.

IT says a new story arc? does that mean his daughter n wife didnt exsist or they are going to just do a reboot using Keifer?

Deberg_1990 05-09-2013 09:29 PM

Touch flopped, Keifer returning to safer ground.

lol Keifer doesnt need the money thats for sure. He made 10's of millions from 24. lol

This is also not a go or anything. They just got in contact with him. Doesnt say if he is on board with it or anything.

They should leave it where it was. The show, while great in its time, fell off significantly in its last few seasons.

I won't believe that until I hear it straight from Dane.

Watched the first episode of the series last night, having never before seen even a minute of the show. Was very good, but damn, after powering through 7 seasons of The Shield last fall/winter, the last thing I need is a new show addiction. I'll put it off until Breaking Bad ends this fall and maybe try to watch a few seasons.

The last season was wretched - I didn't even finish watching it. And I thought adding Starbuck would be a good thing. Instead, she ended up being perhaps the most thoroughly annoying character in the show's history.

Season Five was the show's peak. From that point on, it began a rapid decline.

Unless Gordon, Grazer and Sutherland have a new angle, I think it's best not to resurrect the show. If that happens, they're better of taking it to a premium channel like HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc.

24 was sort of unique. IMO each season was its own thing and stood alone. You could basically watch each season in a bubble without any prior knowledge of previous seasons.

Shows like The Shield, Mad Men, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, etc.......you basically need to watch from the beginning to grasp the entire concept and story arc.

Yeah, 24 is over 1 day and other shows are over weeks n months sometimes years.

I wonder if they will just reboot it n start over with Keifer. I think that would be ok. Same bad ass jack, but clean slate.
