You're going to have to be more specific. Are you talking about Tom Brady, RGIII, or Matt Ryan, because all three of them did that in the 2012 playoffs. Not a legit QB in the bunch.

BossChief 03-11-2013 06:34 PM

Matt Ryan isn't going anywhere, Dane.

I'll bet anything on the fact that he will be a Falcon in 2014.

Anything.

BossChief 03-11-2013 06:38 PM

I can't believe anyone with a brain would try to argue that the Dolphins wouldn't be better with Matt Ryan over Jake Long.

Matt went to a 2 win team and Long went to a 1 win team.

The Falcons made the playoffs the very next year and every year since...how about Miami?

JFC.

Yeah, that Miami team would have been completely different with Ryan.

LMAO

If the Falcons don't want him, i'll take him.

They've averaged eight wins a season since Ryan was drafted while starting Pennington, Henne, Moore, and Tannehill with top 10 scoring defenses 3 of those 5 seasons.

Yeah, I think Ryan might have helped. You watch football, right?

They absolutely would.

Are you saying that the Falcons were just this powerhouse team that was gonna go to the playoffs 5 straight years, no matter what, after losing 14 games that year regardless of the pick, but that the 1 win Dolphins were beyond that kind of turnaround?

Is that the dumb shit you're saying tonight?

WTF?

Chad Pennington won 11 games for Miami in 2008.

OMG, look at all the offensive picks the Falcons have used. They drafted an offensive player in 2009 just a year after drafting Matt Ryan. They blew all their high draft picks in 2008 leaving them with only two first rounders, a second rounder, and three third rounders!!!

They even spent a first round draft pick on offense once since 2008!!!!

Dane and Buzz Tin Ballz are just owning this thread. They must watch the games together, because their football knowledge is on another level.

Atlanta was shit in 2007 because of the whole Vick situation as well as Petrino bailing on the team.

Rasputin 03-11-2013 07:08 PM

Wish we got to draft Matt Ryan. He is on the verge of breaking into elite status.

Dolphins would have been better off pickng Matt Ryan for sure. Any one who thinks they were better off with Jake Long is FOS.

Saul Good 03-11-2013 07:08 PM

Matt Ryan holds the record for most wins by a QB in his first 5 seasons. He sucks.

Bewbies 03-11-2013 07:10 PM

Prior to Ryan's arrival Atlanta had never had 2 winning seasons in a row. He's not 50/50 to return, he's 100% to return with a $100,000,000 extension.

I watch a lot of Atlanta games since that's where I live. They made strides this year, with their big coordinator switch, but they have been the most boring, dull team to watch. The problem isn't Ryan, it's been piss poor coaching, and a piss poor defense. They love the 'Michael Turner 2 yards and a cloud of dust' approach, even though they're a dome team.

Ryan's a good QB. I think people see a better team around him than he really has.
