Seriously **** you Denver Broncos, a few minutes away and you bid him up? What the **** is wrong with you?

Hammock Parties 06-23-2013 07:07 PM

Sorry, bub. That's the way I play the FA game.

Rain Man 06-23-2013 07:09 PM

Heh-heh. This is how rivalries get started.

Its ****ing idiotic, you don't even need a guard yet you bid him up at the last second. Why? If you had a need at guard I would understand but you don't.

Hammock Parties 06-23-2013 07:27 PM

Are you saying you need a guard?

sfchief 06-23-2013 07:29 PM

I finally won a FA, and it only cost me $206 dollars.

Ya, I only bid on guys I have a need for. Which is the purpose of free agency.

See this is whats wrong with the free agency right here. All he is doing is going to bid him up so I can't get him.

I have a lot of money to throw around. If I can acquire some premium talent with it, I will. If you can't afford Kevin Boothe, not my problem.

It's possible I may not pursue Kevin Boothe after today, but I wasn't willing to see him go off the board just yet.

Deal with it.

Use that money and bid everyone up douchebag, but what you're doing is ****ing stupid and all you're doing is being a jackass. It's the only reason you waited until literally the last minute.

Another purpose is to keep your opponents from getting what they need, or at least driving up their cost. It's a legitimate strategy in the dog-eat-dog world of Sandbox professional football.

I'm interested in keeping Mr. Boothe on the board.

But I can't think of a reason to bid him up before the last minute, when someone else might save me the trouble. Can you?

I mean I could just let him go out of the kindness of my heart, but he's a player I'm interested in. Therefore...he remains on the board until I determine my interest is 0.

I disagree, you guys are trying to be realistic. In what world does a team with two good starters at the position ever spend that much money on a backup?

Boothe wouldn't be a backup for me. He'd start.
