That's not true RMO's. I'd be grossed out. Take a trip up here and we can get you hooked up. Super Bowl Sunday used to be the best. Local ranches would bring in their family recipes for RMOs to the bar. They were awesome! Don't eat that crap out of a jar or the ones at the fair.

Not at all. I never wanted to try them. Finally, I caved in and tried one...and hated it. Then I worked a branding and put some on my plate thinking they were some kind of chicken nugget. They were pretty good...I think I ate 6 or 7. Then I started watching the Super Bowl at a bar where 5-7 ranches would bring their RMO recipe to the party. There were a couple recipes that were...meh. There were a few that were damn good. And then there were a couple that were outstanding.

Never had them with a white sauce. Marinara or tomato based sauces for dipping and lemon.

Yea...they served it with a white gravy type sauce to us. Very similar to gravy for a chicken fried steak.

Not all of them are oval. Some look like popcorn chicken and some like small chicken strips. Most have only seen the ones that look like hush puppies. They can be prepared a few different ways. They're from a calf, not a bull. It's not like you're holding a subway sandwich!:D

Love that show and watch it all of the time, I remember him in Brazil or wherever in South America with the gauchos at the branding/ball eating feast... fresh fried, all of the fresh hot peppers and spices, would've been awesome had they been cooking just about anything else.

They actually carry them in an asian supermarket in my area. They're kept in they're own special refrigerator in the produce aisle. I've never seen anyone buy them, but somebody must.

There's also an issue where some people hold mods to a higher standard when it comes to posting. In some ways, they don't allow you to be a full participant in discussions because they expect mods to "stay above the fray" to a certain extent.

I got tired of it being used against me in the course of a discussion - "you shouldn't say that, you're a mod!"
