Westbrook is one of the top 10-15 best players in the game. Never understood those who said his play hurt them or that he was somehow too selfish.

His play has hurt them at times but that doesn't mean he isn't a very good player.

He has his flaws, although he's minimized them as he's matured, but dude has always been a net positive without question. Especially with Harden gone; they needed him to be hyper-aggressive on offense.

OKC's offense is brutal right now. Houston isn't exactly an excellent defensive team.

I agree they need him more now with Harden gone. But I agree with what I heard someone say the other day that Jordan took twice as many shots as Pippen did. That is the way it should work with Durant-Westbrook.

It doesn't help when you keep Perkins on the floor for no god damned reason. I'm almost rooting for Houston at this point hoping Brooks finally gets raped for his atrocious lineups.

That is the stupidest point they ever make. Durant goes to the line a shit Ton. That reduces his attempts. Also, Westbrook is a much better offensive player than Scotty Pippen. We have no one for Westbrook to pass to to get assists because we barely run any offense to get Durant open, and our bigs can't catch and finish. I have been saying it all along. It's Scott Brooks not Russell Westbrook. Westbrook has had some blowups in the past but he has matured a great deal.

Loved Harden's play to get the 2 for 1 at the end of the 3rd there. Very smart basketball.

Westbrook and Durant had found an equilibrium at this point. Westbrook's aggressiveness created openings and took attention away from Durant to allow him to do his thing. They needed Russ to take 20 shots a game without Harden around. Not to mention, that's playing to his strengths.

I thought when Westbrook got hurt that their best chance was basically to plug Jackson into that role. Sure, he's not Westbrook, but he's a nice player. He's a good finisher, decent shooter and seems to have that irrational confidence that he'd need to do it.

The Finals last year was Durant, Westbrook and Collison against the Heat. Since they have decided not have the big 3 they need to add shooters and a post scorer. Spread out the talent. This maybe a blessing because if Russ stays healthy and you get to the Finals they may stay pay. Weaknesses are being massively exposed.

Scott Brooks is stealing money. IMO the players (namely KD) convinced them to pay him last year. Pretty much they are going to keep him happy which they should. If he wants him gone he will be gone. KD is loyal to a fault so I don't foresee it happening. Load up with talent and hope for the best I guess.
