ND wins. And really, storming the court?

After 25 beats 11? Pretty lame. Maybe it's a result of the length and intensity of the game or whatever.

tk13 02-09-2013 11:38 PM

It's almost 1 AM, I think everyone is just delirious. They should've lost that game about 8 times.

KC_Connection 02-09-2013 11:39 PM

Crazy game (at least the end of regulation and the OTs, the minutes before that were lackluster). Louisville should have won that game like six times. Failed to close it out each time, often due to Russ Smith being out of control and Pitino seemingly being unable to run any semblance of an offense without Silva.

warpaint* 02-09-2013 11:40 PM

Ya they gutted that out. I don't mind the court storming due to the circumstances in this case. It is a freaking epidemic though. Happens way too much.

warpaint* 02-09-2013 11:42 PM

Vitale is right (for once in his life) that Sherman kid was really big esp considering he's been riding pine for a month.

It marked the sixth time in the last eight meetings that a game between the Fighting Irish (19-5, 7-6 Big East) and the Cardinals (19-5, 7-4) went into overtime.
That's unreal.

And yeah, of all the court rushes this week, that one is deserving.

lewdog 02-10-2013 01:40 PM

Even though he plays for a rival of my Michigan State Spartans, I respect the hell out of Oladipo from Indiana. Love watching that dude play.

KC_Connection 02-10-2013 07:04 PM

Duke gets bailed out by the refs on the final play there. Cook clearly fouled the BC rebounder. They get the 1 point win against a terrible BC team and will be a very undeserved #1 tomorrow in all likelihood.

You won't find a better week this season in the NCAA than Illinois beating Indiana at home and now beating Minnesota on the road. They're in the tournament.

Reerun_KC 02-10-2013 08:38 PM

#7 Az went down at home to Cal

Reerun_KC 02-10-2013 08:39 PM

The amount of top teams going down is just strange....

Not one team is running away with it this year...

Should be a fun tourney...

Arizona losing to Cal at home is a pretty terrible loss for a supposed top 5 team.

They should've never been ranked that high. You could say that about all these teams but from the start they've never really been impressive.

Well if everybody keeps losing, somebody has to be there. But now Arizona is losing too (their third, but it really should be their fourth). Even Gonzaga, which only has two losses and should be top 4 in the polls come Monday due to their record, nearly lost to a TCU-level San Diego team last week (2 point win).

Reerun_KC 02-10-2013 08:56 PM

Miami should be top 5 if not 2 or 3...

IMO they're the best team in the country. They're winning as consistent as anybody. And they pisspounded the new to #1 team in the nation by a shitload. And it was worse than the score looked.

lewdog 02-12-2013 08:09 PM

First time Michigan State and Michigan have both played when they are ranked in the top 10. Wow!

Even Izzo said he had no idea that had never occurred before.

So much energy in that building tonight. Our defense is lights out and our guards are playing exceptionally well with dribble drive/pass.

I don't even....

Sparty plays D. Sparty gets off rebounds galore. Sparty rarely misses.
loved Izzos comment, we couldn't have played any better...and they probably played their worst game of the season.

March 2 rematch at Ann Arbor.
if you put a gun to my head and make me bet the mortgage....can't say I'd feel good going with Blue.

Mi does have a chance at redemption. home vs IN and MI ST. at Purdue. but the way they are playing right now...not sure they'll get by friggin Penn St.

and ACTUALLY....the Fab 5 never won shit! they never won the championship. they never even won a big 10 title. they never won shit. they did however put the program into a tail spin with the Ed Martin scandal that resulted in poor recruiting classes and an ELEVEN YEAR absence from the NCAA tourney.

thanks Fab 5! for NOTHING!

Don't know who else is watching "Bedlam" but OU just played a great 15 minutes of the first half. Outscored Ok. St. 27-8 to close the half and take a 35-27 lead in Stillwater.

Tennessee is beating Kentucky by 30 points with 10 minutes to go in the game. Beatdown city.

Ok. St has moved back to within 1 at the 8 minute mark.
