Sooooo...we're back to Sanchez with a Hali-chaser, eh? Okay, I'll take this one out at the knees:
I must have missed Mr. Rodgers Trolley to the Land of Make Believe, where Hali became Derrick Thomas and Matt "I'm not Mark Sanchez"Cassel actually WON a playoff game.
So there's that, yes.

If you read the posts made since the bump you'll know why.

Maybe. He did have 8 sacks his rookie season.

Yet, the CP masterminds wanted him to stand up and get out of town ROFL

All these threads prove is just how many busts are littered in every draft year. It's hilarious reading how everyone thinks every high mocked first rounder is a guarenteed All-Pro and people act like the success rate of 2nds and 3rds is 75 percent for every team in the league but the Chiefs instead of the 20-25 it really is.

It also proves that the people who call other people morons because those other people don't agree with their draft prognostications are morons themselves.

There is alot of truth to that.

Alot of these guys are in the right though that the team has had a lack of any success due to investing high round draft picks in the wrong positions. It's no coincidence that the team hasn't won a playoff game in 2 decades and hasn't made a single effort to attempt to draft, develop their own homegrown QB with a high round pick.

Exactly. People aren't being critical of a well oiled machine here.

when we drafted Hali we had the number one offense in football and the worst defense.

I'm not sure what that has to do with the quarterback position, however, when we did go to the playoffs, it wasn't Greens play that lost the Indianapolis games.

That's arguably why you draft bpa not for need.

I can't wait to bump the Ford thread 3 years from now after his 100 sack season lel.

carcosa 05-11-2014 05:23 PM

In retrospect, why draft Hali when we were just gonna draft his replacement in 8 years?

You're right, let me correct that number to 200. Sounds more reasonable.
