For my Wanya fans, I still like him… I think we can find better in this class.

He’d be the perfect swing tackle and could become the RT after Taylor is gone.

He was epically bad in the Raiders game. Like he'd almost never played a down of football. And was in his best game, below average. He ain't it

I want a reciever in the first round. There will be some decent stop gap LT's in free agency. Donovan Smith did a nice job. I'd consider bringing him back.

Rice
Draft pick
Watson
Moore
Toney

What does winning the SB have to do with anything regarding the state of the offense and the WR room in particular? A single play could have resulted in the game going the other way, the final win/loss shouldn't change the evaluation process. We have a whole season of evidence, including through the playoffs and the Super Bowl, that the weapons on offense are not close to enough. A single rookie WR does not change that. KC is going to bring in a vet WR, probably on the more budget-friendly side which is fine. Mooney, Reynolds, Bourne, Samuel are good bets and maybe Hollywood Brown if not too expensive.

We don’t need to do anything but keep reinforcing the OLine and have a good D. Receivers will come here to get a ring on a discount.

Hey, I have a question for you. I am not sure where you stand on the backup QB thing.

I don't like having ready-to-retire backups. I would rather Reid develop a young QB, not only as a backup, but for future trade value.

My question is, do you think having a young backup (with starter potential) over an aging veteran is worth it?

I was thinking that if we had drafted and developed a later round QB as a backup, someone like Milton this year, and they played in the last game when we rested starters, and looked really good, maybe a team towards the top of the draft needing a QB would rather take an Andy Reid trained guy along with draft capital than risk drafting a bust.

Just watched a video on Ladd. He's a good player, even ran a 4.39. He'd be a good pick but he's more of a slot WR than a WO. We need a burner to put on the outside.

I like McConkey. But, I was just shocked to find out that he’s in no way related to Phil. LOL

Mims and Paul both had 36+ arms.

Mims is my guy! I knew he would run/test well but not that well!

6’8 340 with over 36inch arms and 11+ inch hands!!!! 5.07 40! With a 1.78 10yrd split.

Mims is very inexperienced and I believe if he had more games under his belt he would go top 10.

Mims is mocked mid to late draft and I think would be the perfect “Veach” small trade up target.

they will take MVS’s money and pick up a $10-$12 million WR in free agency.

It's been my opinion that we should be developing young QB's behind Mahomes for a few years now.

Let's be honest, if Mahomes goes down, we're not going anywhere anyway. No lousy veteran is going to win us multiple games or play-off games. Season's over.

I'd much rather be rolling with young back-ups that we could develop and flip for picks like Andy did for years with the Eagles.

Gravedigger 03-04-2024 08:07 AM

Man I'd love to see Joe Alt protecting Patrick for the remainder of their times here in KC. Put Creed in that mix, whew nobody is touching Patrick.

Realistically I'm thinking that would take a trade up to the top 6 picks, so realistically Cardinals or Giants, if he's still there after 5 for the Chargers and we'd have to throw in Sneed, so the team would have to agree to give him a 4 - 5 year deal worth $100 million, and we'd have to give them our first rounder this year and depending on how good of a negotiator Veach can be a day 2 or 3 pick this year or next, but it'd likely take 2 first rounders and Sneed. I know it's impossible, but since we're throwing around dream scenarios left and right why not live in this dream a bit more. Giants are more desperate than the Cardinals and will have to pay Daniel Jones for this year anyways. You might be able to sell the Cardinals but you'd have to convince them that Sneed and ammo is a better proposition then the receivers they could get at those picks, which is a tough sell.

To the victor goes the spoils....

How damn fortunate we are to have a draft class like this, the year we need WRs and a LT of the future, despite picking at 32.

After this combine has unfolded, I'm convinced that Veach and Andy need to be aggressive about going and getting their guys at WR and LT.

50 Drops is about how many balls our WR crew had in 2023. LOL

They've gotta play to be flipped. That isn't gonna happen here.

THey want the vets because they help Pat with preparation and such. You just need guys that can steady the ship for a game or two.

If Pat goes down, it won't matter.

Like Manning's old OC said when asked why the backup doesn't get run with the 1's "If 15 goes down we're ****ed, and we don't practice ****ed".

So let's say Mahomes goes out for four games in the middle of the season.

You think it's an unreasonable expectation to expect a vet backup to be able to win two of them?

Or even one to possibly keep the season alive.

Yes…. This.
