I understand withholding judgment until more information is in and not assuming that these guys are automatically guilty. At the same time, don't assume that the accuser is lying simply because more of this is becoming known. Generally, these dams break, they don't leak. Look at what happened with the Catholic Church. The volume of accusations was phenomenal, but they were also true. Just because they exploded in quick fashion doesn't make it false and/or a money grab.

They didn't really explode in that quick of a fashion as far as accusations being made privately or publically.
People who talked about it were simply ostracized at worst or at best ignored. Remember the whole Sinead O'Conner SNL thing? That's why she was tearing up pictures of the Pope.
This seems a similar thing. People are just finally listening and reacting instead of the old head in the sand technique, which is bringing out more people.
It's actually horrifying to see how deep these termites are, and it's justifiably making people a bit unsure about where the line is. The reactions from the accussed I see frequently make me think the accusations are true.
I'm suspecting they've had other HR complaints about this regarding certain people and/or she still has the text messages. These suspensions were handed out quickly, and more could be coming. |
