I wish that gif was zoomed out slightly more to see the jam at the line of scrimmage. When I saw it, I thought, "Eh, whatever." It didn't seem like a call.
But the defender actually ended up on the ground and Decker was running free before Pollard came over to help. We can see in one angle of the gif that the defender is far upfield just getting to his feet when the Pollard hit happens.
When they said, "there are two fouls on the play", I assumed maybe there was a holding or illegal formation or something that I didn't see. When they called Verner for holding when he ended up on the ground, and then called Pollard for a personal foul when the ball bounced off Decker's hands and Pollard clearly made a shoulder to shoulder hit, I gave up.
And again, that's nothing against the Broncos division of the NFL Industrial Complex. It's just how the league works now. The drive was extended and ended with a touchdown pass by one of the league's biggest stars. The marketing team and several of their target market priorities cheered and said, "Great pass by Eli!"
