The whole thing seems pretty futile at this point.

He wasn't 'holding out'. He missed TC because the rules of the Franchise Tag allow for that.

I don't know about the 'disgruntled' part. Don't know the guy.

If he's tagged again, he'll get 11M+. $20M in 2 seasons in pretty good. I doubt he'll be disgruntled.

Then just let him walk next offseason?

If he is unwilling to sign a longterm deal this offseason you better tag and trade him this year.

Unwilling? The only party 'unwilling' in this deal was peeholey.

What are you doing out of your thread? Go away.

Bowe has had so many veriables to help him since his time here.

1) Long list of franchise quality quarterbacks
2) Stable of pro-bowl level receivers to take the heat off of him.
3) Some highly creative offensive play calling
4) Vince Lombardi level coaching

Bottom line is he is on a realy bad team and is stil getting it done.

F*** you Pioli

it's clearly different now. The guy just broke his ribs, he is definitely now looking for LONG TERM security, especially having a down year, and getting injured on top of it. He is definitely holding out because hes disgruntled against the idiot GM that wont pay him not the Chiefs as a whole.

But the guys market dropped because of an awful season + injury. Essentially Pioli cockblocked him out of a lot of money, and the guy still doesnt get any long term security. I dont think he will be happy on another 1 year deal is what I am saying, especially coming off injury.

Bowe out for the season and the Chiefs refuse to activate Breaston. These assclowns give me a headache.

Bowe will not be a Chief next year...and it's time we all get used to it now.

His last game as a Chief was a 2 catch, 70-yard performance in a blowout loss in Cleveland that he left early on due to broken ribs.

Fitting epitaph for his time with KC.

JFC. STFU dumbass

What MJD did is Holding Out.

The Tag rules allow players to miss TC.

He could have skipped all of pre-season, but he didn't.

Hopefully, we get a solid GM in here and he recognizes Bowe's value.

Agree on all counts.

And I would argue he wasn't JUST "getting it done".

He led the league in TDs 2 years ago, with MATT ****ING CASSEL AT QB.

Dallas will do whatever it takes to get the right cap room to sign a big name WR especially dwayne bowe.

Breaston is nothing special, he's serviceable but activating him isn't going to make much of a difference.

Yeah that he was a play maker. The only WR playmaker we have had in.......what seems like forever.

I keep thinking out scenarios..

1. Stays with KC, drafts Geno, lights it up next year
2. Pulls a Carr 2.0, signs with Dallas
3. Goes to ****ing New England to win a bowl for a lesser price

I doubt it but I haven't really looked into their cap situation. I do know they have a possible slot guy who they love, and Austin has a high-guaranteed saary IIRC.

Personally, when we get a new GM, I'd expect us to be the front runners for Bowe.

I think this is more likely than the 2nd option, IMO.

I could see them kicking Welker to the curb and getting Bowe, that's the only reason why. I don't see them keeping Welker and adding Bowe, it just wouldn't be fair.
