Why not? What can he really do right now to change things around this season. There has been discussion of many coaching changes comming this off-season. Clark needs to be proactive in his approach to how he handles the situation IMO. The sooner the better to get all the right people in place to turn this mess around.

Clark isn't going to say anything until the deed is done. Then it's going to be "We thank Scott", "wish him and his family well" kind of stuff. I can live with that as long as he says it, the sooner the better.
