He's the ****ing worst. Got all butt hurt because Todd Frazier was pumped up after hitting a home run.

Interesting Hosmer explanation for the ejection:

That's a great explanation by Hos. He's really become quite a leader.

That's perfect and I really like where Hosmer's head and actions have been during this bad stretch. He's playing with some passion and looks like his head has clearly been in all the games. Just what this team needs. Others need to follow suit.

Hosmer has developed into such a leader for this team. It'd be nice if we'd be able to keep him.

As for Medlen, he's not pitching well at all. That said... with the Braves he'd usually flop his way through the 1st half, then become an absolute monster in the 2nd half of the season. Who knows if he can do it again, but I don't want to completely give up on him starting. But he certainly can't keep posting a 7 ERA.

mr. tegu 05-04-2016 09:31 PM

Medlen hasn't been as bad as the ERA might indicate. In five starts he has two very bad ones and two pretty good ones with another decent one. It shouldn't be too surprising to people that his first full season in three years is a bit rocky to start.

If he can just squeeze another inning or more into those good starts then he is really doing good. And you just have to hope those abysmal starts improve. Today was kind of a tough one to decipher as for how he was really going to do.

kcchiefsus 05-04-2016 09:37 PM

It doesn't matter how bad our pitching if our hitters are going to continue to be worthless ****s at the plate.

I like what Hos said, it was perfect given the setting. What I would add is that IF it's hard to call balls and strikes THEN the league needs to consider electronic help.

I'm not putting my opinion about how hard or easy it is, I'm just saying that if the MLB is going to agree that it's hard, they also need to step-up and admit that it's time to help the Umps with their difficult job.
