It was probably lowering the numbers on NBC, so instead of making NBC better they just moved it to Sunday night.

I think they're hoping to raise their ratings, I'm just not sure it will work. Friday is, traditionally, however, a dead night for TV.

Frankly, I think DVR/TiVO and the internet is more responsible for Galactica's struggling ratings than anything else. If you don't watch it live, you don't get counted as a viewer. Which is nuts.

They just signed a big deal with DirectTV, though, so I think we may be safe for season 4.

Last night's episode seemed good but a little lacking...somthing. We'll see what I think after a second viewing. The fact that I watched it at 4 am after working 14 hours may have colored my perception...

Not new episodes, though. Repeats of the last two.

FWI, Battlestar Galactica has officially been renewed, at least 13 episodes that will begin airing next January. Talk of a direct to DVD movie as well, that will be filmed during the upcoming production haitus.

Yay.

Although Sunday's episode may have been the worst of the series.

It was clearly a filler episode and did nothing to advance the continuing story, but the worst of the bunch so far was the Apollo playing sugar daddy to the hooker and her kid episode from last year. That was lame as hell.

I didn't mind that episode, Black Market. The one Sunday was like Quincy in space or some crap.

'course, I guess we're spoiled, a bad episode of BSG is better than 99% of the stuff on TV. They can't all be the second half of Exodus, with Galactica jumping into the atmosphere and the Pegasus turning into a pinball.

Speaking of advancing the plot, I wish they'd have kept this in the episode (the full cut scene they teased at the end): http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/vide...as=1&vid=61322

I'll check it out when I get home. Thanks.

And you're right - bad BG > damn near anything else.

New episodes return to U.S. April 6

Monday - January 29, 2007 | by Sharon Fetter
Mark April 6, 2007 in red on your calendar! Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis return to the SCI FI Channel's line-up, with ten all-new episodes each.

Both shows start their run with the conclusions to last fall's cliffhangers. For Stargate SG-1 that will be "The Quest, Part 2." Stargate Atlantis returns with "The Return, Part 2."

SG-1 will finish out its tenth and final season with the series finale, "Unending," in June.

Season Four of Atlantis goes before cameras in March. SCI FI has not yet announced a premiere date.

Is Battlestar Galactica Jumping The Shark?

Another lame-ass episode tonight, and next week's previews didn't exactly inspire me. 47 days without battling the Cylons is NOT a good thing.

I hope BG isn't going LOST on us.

Deberg_1990 02-18-2007 11:19 PM

Anybody here seen any of the new remastered Star Trek "Original Series" episodes? Im actually impressed. I like the updated special effects and the fact that they didnt go overboard with them ala George Lucas....
