The Chiefs ended the game by injuring Rivers. Alas, apparently the screenshot I took didn't save. Rest assured, though, for Rivers it was again, THE WORST DAY EVER.

Is the Chiefs defense fixed? Maybe. They will need it in Week 16 against Megatron and the Patriots. Finnegan against Edelman should be a great matchup.

Curiously enough, while the Chiefs currently are the 5th seed and guaranteed a playoff spot...the division is still in play.

The Raiders had a chance to clinch the West, but BLEW IT by losing to Buffalo, 30-17. So here's how it shakes out:

The Steelers lost to the Colts this year, so the Colts are the #2 seed. Miami is #1 via their conference record.

If the Chiefs (11-5) beat the Patriots, they will win the AFC West, leapfrog Pittsburgh and claim the 3rd seed via the head-to-head tiebreaker (thank you Kellen Moore). They would then host the sixth seed (9-7) Patriots in round 1.

If the Chiefs (10-6) lose to the Patriots (10-6), they get the 6th seed and are forced to travel to Pittsburgh to face a Steelers team with a healthy Big Ben.

I think we all know which scenario is preferable.

Interestingly enough, had I defeated Miami earlier this season, I would now be in position to claim the #1 seed. Alas.
