Yep. I didn't have a choice this year (cord cutting plus local cable-only channel carrying the Avs = GCL + SmartDNS), but I certainly don't mind having access to ALL of the games.

Booing Gary Bettman never gets old. LMAO

I like that he's at least embraced it.

I probably just don't usually watch the opening national TV game usually, but this is an incredible amount of time spent on televising a banner raising. I mean, the team should do it at the stadium, but I don't need to watch it for half an hour.

Huh? Why does that have anything to do with whether a ceremony celebrating that should be shown on national TV?

Accomplishments should be celebrated. It's what makes the Stanley Cup the best trophy of any of the major sports.
And sure, it's a nationally televised game but there are kids watching. and some may aspire to bore you for 30 minutes 20 years from now in the name of Hockey. Cut them some slack Jack.

Bearcat 10-08-2015 07:53 PM

Yay... hopefully it ends 10-0.

Suck it, Wild.

Bearcat 10-08-2015 08:16 PM

3 on 3 OT in Tampa.... like the shootout, it's fun to watch, but a gimmicky way to determine points. Would rather see a 5 minute 4 on 4 first... ease into the gimmicks a bit.

DaFace 10-08-2015 09:52 PM

I hate the Wild. So very, very much.
