The rowdy crowds make it more fun to watch. Fights are always better to watch when there is a home town boy involved. It might not be a fair but I just want to be enertained.

That would be cool as well, just like Rocky IV.

So Belfort made more then Silva for that fight?

Anderson Silva, $200,000 (no win bonus) def. Vitor Belfort, $275,000
Forrest Griffin, $125,000 + $150,000 (win) = $275,000 def. Rich Franklin, $75,000
Jon Jones, $70,000 + $70,000 (win) = $140,000 def. Ryan Bader, $20,000
Jake Ellenberger, $16,000 + $16,000 (win) = $32,000 def. Carlos Eduardo Rocha, $8,000
Miguel Torres, $28,000 + $28,000 (win) = $56,000 def. Antonio Banuelos, $9,000

Just shows you how 'peanuts' MMA really is when you compare it to the big boxing payouts.

It goes to show you how much money the UFC probably stuffs in their pockets.

This, they are making an insane ****ing killing. Fighters are getting hosed.

That article is pretty much how I see it.

Not to mention, Jones looks like he's a weight class larger than Shogun.

Also...Jones has momentum and already is in fighting shape now. He and Greg Jackson can spend the next 6 weeks coming up with a gameplan and train specifically for it instead of worrying about getting into fighting shape. That is a HUGE advantage IMO.

I'm not saying Jones is going to walk through Shogun or anything like that but this is a horrible match up for Shogun stylistically, there's no denying that.

It doesn't destroy anything...the only point I made was that if Griffin can sub Shogun and I don't give a **** when it was that Jones can do it too. That's it.

Nah man. Shogun is stand up first, ground later. His stand up is top notch. I see him chopping down Jones with those brutal leg kicks then going in for the kill.

Right. Jerm doesn't watch MMA that much because if he did, he'd know better. Shogun is a brutal stand up guy. If anything, Jones only chance is to get it to the ground and sub Shogun. Because I don't see him knocking Shogun out.

Yeah, he's Muay Thai first, BJJ second.
