I'm thinking that she may end up being the Deus Ex that comes in. Maybe the people who "abducted" her really rescued her. Maybe they're from another group who is trying to stop the Terminus crew and knows of their nefarious ways.

Of course, there's still Tyrese, Carol, and Baby H.

Maybe Beth was captured and became a part of the Terminus group and she finds out Rick, Maggie, and Co are being held there.
Frees them before they become "people steak".

MTG#10 04-01-2014 06:19 AM

What a shitty waste of a season. The whole thing felt like nothing happened at all until the last episode, and it wasn't even anything special. Hope it bounces back next season.

Chiefnj2 04-01-2014 07:08 AM

Lizzie was the highlight of the season. The finale was horrible.

You may be onto something because I’m pretty sure the mortuary Daryl and Beth were shacking up in was a trap, it was too convenient, clean and well-kept for someone not to be staying in it. I also think the cleaned and dressed bodies they found have something to do with the room at Terminus with the candles and names/dates scribbled on the floor and walls that Rick and crew got chased through.
IMO that leaves a couple of possibilities as to where Beth went, assuming the writers use story lines from the comics.

Spoiler!

Keep in mind I was positive they were going to find Beth half eaten so I’m not exactly building a record for accuracy here.

Not suggesting that at all. I like the human drama more than the zombie attacks. This season was just flat out boring and unentertaining. And scrolling through various message boards more agree with me than not.

Mecca 04-01-2014 09:46 AM

I personally found the first season of the show the most entertaining so I guess I liked zombies more.

This was the best season yet, IMHO. The development of the characters, (especially Rick, Carol and Michonne) was excellent. The writers are really making sure you care about these people and find their stories compelling and interesting.
I thought Carol was going to be one of the first people offed in season one. Now? She might be the last one standing.
I really hope they don't go the comic route with her and Tyreese. But that's what makes the show so good now. If either of them bite the dust, it would suck because we've watched them develop and adjust to their surroundings so well. We couldn't say that last season. I doubt anyone was really effected when T-Dog bit it. We expected it more or less.
Take Herschel's death for example. That was terrible and depressing. Would we have given two shits if that happened earlier in the series? Not really.
The writers have matured and made this the best drama currently on TV.

It's starting to bug me that the comics and the tv show are so far apart on things. I realize that it probably wouldn't be as popular if they had followed the comics to a T....but ****ing hell.

They've aligned the show to the comics quite a bit more this season than they did the last two.
However, I have to say that if they told the exact same story, I wouldn't be as interested. I like how they change it up. I was one of the many people that always thought the comics were far better than the show, not anymore.

The zombies are boring as hell, its not like 28 Days Later where they sprint after people, they're all too easy to just smash in the head with any sharp piece of available metal.

The good stuff in this show is whats going on between human beings.

All of those people are still kickin, Ricks baby is a mystery, presumed to be on a bus that left the prison after a raid by the Governor.

I missed a good half of this season, but when the Governor attacked the prison, didn't they find the car seat Ricks baby was in empty?

My guess is that someone grabbed the baby and boarded the bus on its way out... now, I am confused by Radars post saying she was turned into a zombie...

Help a brother out here, did I get caught slippin by missing too much of this season?... I started this season in the episode before the Governor found the women, kid and grandpa in the abandoned apartment building, then killed gramps when he got turned.

I am guessing she finds out her group is in there. Tries to help. Gets location on stash. Finds Carols group. Informs them of stash. Creates distraction. Rick murders everyone. 2 to 3 members deaths.

Technically the "zombies" in the 28 Days series were still alive- so they weren't really zombies in the traditional sense.

I thought they were people infected with a weaponized virus called “Rage” that escaped the lab in a monkey when eco-terrorists raided the lab.

That's right.

In 28 Days Later, the main character walked in on a large group of them sleeping after he awoke from a coma and, at the very end of the movie, you could see many of them were dying of starvation/dehydration.

Easy 6 04-01-2014 03:41 PM

They're friggin zombies, same as the fast movers in WWZ... but fine, you guys win, I don't need a zombie pissing contest.

It would be nice to read Kirkman's original plot lines for Shane actually killing Rick in the comics.
He said it would have been Carl dealing with Shane raising him after he kills his father.

Watched the 2nd half of the season yesterday. Couple of really good episodes, the one centered around Bob Stookey (4th ep I think) and the one that followed it centered around Daryl and Beth. I thought The Grove was going to be better than it was, after all the hubbub about it. Really left feeling kind of "meh" by the time the finale ended. Right idea, I thought, but the production of the whole sequence with them being herded toward the train car was so bad that I felt like I was watching a crappy saturday night movie on syfy. And then Rick's cheesy-ass line to end the season. 8 weeks of converging storylines led to that. Sheesh.

Wasn't a bad season by any means, but really felt like it was starting to come off the rails a bit (cough) by the end.

While I disagree with some of this, I have to admit that I agree with you about the group being "herded" to the train car. That was a bit much and that group isn't that stupid. I know they were highly outnumbered but that was a little cheesy.
The line at the end was taken directly from the comics.

keg in kc 04-07-2014 09:12 AM

If that's straight from the comics, then that might have been a good time to diverge. At least for me it came off like a bad 80s movie one-liner. Although I guess it does tie in to Rick's willingness to do anything to survive/protect as established earlier in the ep. It just seemed like a tidbit of writing completely detached from the regular writing on the show.

Otherwise I thought most of the episode was fine. The part in Terminus at the very end is the only thing that didn't work for me. Which is kinda big, since that's the last thing they leave you with...

Taken all together I'm in the group that mostly liked the season, because I thought they did some potentially significant character development. As I said, I thought there were a couple of really solid character episodes.

dmahurin 04-07-2014 09:31 PM

That last line was supposed to be they're "****ing" with the wrong people instead of screwing. They said on the talking dead they changed it to be more family friendly. Which is stupid, the show isn't meant to be family friendly.

both off screen.

Also, parent might not let the kids watch, but still keep them in earshot.

Finally, I may be wrong, but since they're on cable they could theoretically show anything HBO or Showtime does. So this is a "network/advertiser/network's calculation of audience" thing, not a regulation.

I do find it odd that @midnight bleeps pretty rigorously, and Scott Aukerman chuckled on his podcast that standards and practices cut one of his jokes for non-cursing content, even though the jokes are 90% off color. Plus they bleep online streaming too.
