Dammit is that the way it went down in the books? I liked Jamie as a badass.

They weren't as clear about the losing of his hand. All I remember is he was captured one moment then in his next chapter his hand was gone and they were describing the pain of it. I liked the way they did it in the show.

Well, that was surprising. Losing a right hand is going to make it a bit harder for Jaime to fight effectively to say the least. And it was right after he did a good deed and saved Brienne too.

Loved the scenes with Daenerys. She told off Jorah and Barristan after the negotiation, but yeah, I agree with them...a dragon does seem like to high of a price to pay considering all that we've heard about what they can do. She no doubt knows something that everyone else doesn't as usual, though, I'm sure.

The scene with Tywin's small council and the chairs was hilarious at the beginning. That's the first time we've seen Varys this season, wish we'd see more of him.

And who the hell was the badass who saved Theon? A Stark, perhaps? Took that guy out like the orc did to Sean Bean in LOTR. Theon manages to get himself into worse and worse shit every week, it seems. I'd stick with that guy if I was him.

Well in the books, they pull his arm out and the guy swings his Arakh (big curved blade the dothraki use) and Jaime screams. You don't know if he's dead or what until the next Brienne or Jaime chapter when you find out they cut off his hand.

That was the sweeper guy again that helped Theon escape in the first place. This part is all different from the books, so not sure yet about that guy and what he's up to. Not gonna say more in the non-spoiler thread.

Ah, yes. That's right.

The dragons are Dany's no matter who she "gives" them to... ;)

Half way through the first book. Could they make the Catelyn chapters any more ****ing boring?

Mr. Laz 04-15-2013 11:43 AM

Genetic pre-disposition.

No, it was pretty crystal clear it was lopped off.

He's the one who is really eating Craster's babies.

mdchiefsfan 04-15-2013 06:29 PM

Anyone else find this episode especially comical? From the Tywin, Cersei, and Tyrion scene at the beginning, the scene with Hot Pie and Sandor Clegane, the scene with Pod, Tyrion and Bronn, and last but not least "The Maid and the Bear" punk rendition.

Yeah, there was a nice mix of humor in this episode. Even Edmure missing the boat with his arrows was kinda funny.
