Pretty great episode. Amazing how far they've come since the first half of season 1. We all thought it was going inhumans and damned if they didn't in a big way. They've gone from being Captain America 2's bitch to introducing the world behind a big film scheduled for 2018.

I don't think she's that character. They could shoehorn just about any character in there - Tigra, perhaps - or they could just make her someone new.

That was actually someone else's speculation, I apparently left that part out last night. Although I think a character like that is closer than tigra. I don't see her coming out of this as a hero.

Whithall's death seemed a bit anticlimactic, in retrospect. I wonder if he'll show up again,or if that was just a cheap plot device.

Normally I'd hate a long layoff like this, but I've been really invested in Agent Carter, and the last ep of SHIELD was so good with such a big ending that they've actually got me chomping at the bit for more.

Pretty badass. Fitz was awesome at the end.

I don't read the comics. Is the eyeless guy Quicksilver or some relation? And which characters are Raina and Skye trending towards?

Skye is Daisy Johnson, aka Quake. Still no idea who Raina is.

Also, the eyeless guy is a minor character called Reader. Who knows how closely he'll stick to his comic version; the teleportation would suggest that he will be wildly divergent.

I think Raina is a character invented for the show. They had originally expected her to be a short-lived guest star until the actress did so well, and they signed her on for longer. That would suggest her alter ego was not planned out long in advance (as I'm sure Bobbi was).

And yeah, Skye is Daisy Johnson/Quake. Kyle McLachlan is her father Calvin Zabo/Mr. Hyde, and old Thor villain who, in the comics, is approximately the size of a city bus.

That ending was like WTF?

I definitely yelled "Whoa!" at my TV at least once, and my mouth was literally agape at the last five seconds. It was a quality finale.

Yeah this show has been pretty good this season.

Man, there were a lot of Holy Shit moments. What a finale to a great first season. I'm stunned how well they brought everything together by the end. They've got a really complex story going, and it's working brilliantly. And the fact that it's tied into the bigger MCU gives me hope that it won't Firefly...

Yeah, was a solid season, if not quite as awesome as the end of season one. Really set up some interesting things for next year.

They've renewed it and Agent Carter both, so that alone puts it several levels ahead of Firefly.

Glad to hear they renewed Agent Carter. I thought it was fun, even though I know a lot of people thought they were trying to hard.

I liked Agent Carter a lot. It might be the cable snob in me talking, but I think shorter seasons are usually better because it lets the story be more focused. Similarly, I think Agent Carter helped Agents of SHIELD this year, because the big break in the middle either forced or allowed them structure it like two short seasons.

Agreed. I really liked Agent Carter. The acting was great and I enjoyed being immersed in the period. Of course, I've really enjoyed the Flash and Daredevil as well. The comic folks are really doing well with television/netflix.

This has been great. I am definitely looking forward to season 3.

Solid premiere.

This show has sucked balls this season. I can watch it in fast forward and glean the plot and scene. It's turned into a boring soap opera. I don't give a shit what happened between Melinda and her ex. I don't give a shit what happened to the girl on the other planet. I am tired of the whole "Ward as a bad guy" subplot. Just show us some damn inhumans and some good special effects.

I was wondering if that overreaction by the characters was more the actors genuinely sad to see the other two leave the show.

Was surprised at how touching that was. Glad that they could go out together like that.. free and clear to finally get that long vacation they never had.
