Proud of my Warriors. Didn't fold... refs were terrible. But, whatever. We aren't going back to Denver.

You won't be so proud once the Spurs show them how to play basketball

KevB 04-30-2013 10:22 PM

I love it when Paul creates a bunch of contact as he's dribbling in traffic and the refs don't give him the call.

His handles are so good, I think he could get in a fistfight while dribbling and still not get the ball stolen.

Pitt Gorilla 04-30-2013 10:27 PM

Gasol is SOOO good.

He's fantastic. Best big in the NBA, I think.

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 10:29 PM

Memphis is playing so well tonight. I don't know if Chris Paul can save the Clips this game.

okcchief 04-30-2013 10:33 PM

Griffin looks to be hurt as well. The Clippers are against the ropes. Wouldn't mind seeing the Griz to get the Finals since the Thunder are dead men walking. That would be an interesting matchup.

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 10:37 PM

Inadvertent whistle is a bullshit call there. Why do the Clippers get the ball after it?

KevB 04-30-2013 10:41 PM

Dooling keeps fouling Paul 35 feet from the basket, giving him free throws.....just stupid.

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 10:43 PM

Paul's BBIQ is great. I even wondered for a bit there what he was doing waiting there.

KevB 04-30-2013 10:43 PM

Wow, Bayless. Huge play.

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 10:44 PM

Blake is done for the game.

KevB 04-30-2013 10:45 PM

As long as Grizz don't turn it over against a Paul/Bledsoe/Crawford lineup (all guys with quick hands) and/or Crawford goes nuts, the Grizz are in a good place.

Hollins knows Crawford is key. He generally puts Tony Allen on him any time he's in the game.

okcchief 04-30-2013 10:47 PM

I can't remember a season where so many star players have gone down. Not good for the game at all.

KevB 04-30-2013 10:48 PM

And just like that, Pondexter and then Bayless turn it over and it leads to layups.

Leads can vanish so fast in the NBA. I'm never comfortable until its 30 in the 4th.

Pitt Gorilla 04-30-2013 10:57 PM

Randolph doing work.

No doubt, just the way the NBA goes, so many guys that can make plays.

KevB 04-30-2013 11:03 PM

Big shot from Prince, damn.

Simply Red 04-30-2013 11:08 PM

damn man.

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 11:08 PM

So when does Gasol come back?

KevB 04-30-2013 11:08 PM

They're calling a lot of fouls on Grizz here in the 4th (at least it feels that way).

okcchief 04-30-2013 11:08 PM

Z Bo is looking like a few years ago tonight.

okcchief 04-30-2013 11:10 PM

I'm sure that comment won't help if true. I didn't get to see much of that one. I was watching the Royals game for the most part.

Funny thing is, when I was watching, Draymond Green looked like the hitman with a couple of shots to Faried and Miller.

KevB 04-30-2013 11:15 PM

PRINCE!

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 11:15 PM

Where did this Tayshaun come from?

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 11:16 PM

Too good Gasol.

KevB 04-30-2013 11:16 PM

It's working, but why the hell is ZBo on the bench?

okcchief 04-30-2013 11:16 PM

Prince showed up tonight.

I was watching the Jays, but it's a NBA playoff game. He shouldn't whine like that.

Bad coaching is probably the answer.

okcchief 04-30-2013 11:18 PM

He did leave him in for a long stretch while Gasol was sitting with foul trouble. Probably needed a blow.

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 11:19 PM

This is going to be the best road win of the playoffs so far.

The Thuggets is my all time favorite nicknames though I don't feel that it applies anymore.

The Grind House is going to be rocking for game 6

Ceej 04-30-2013 11:24 PM

SPORTSCENTER NEEDS MOARRR LAKERS.

JFC.

okcchief 04-30-2013 11:24 PM

I'm happy about this one. The Clippers just rub me the wrong way. Hopefully, they go home and finish them off.

KevB 04-30-2013 11:27 PM

Man, what a huge win for the Grizz. When ZBo brings this version of himself to the game, Grizz are tough to beat.

okcchief 04-30-2013 11:27 PM

Del Negro probably wants to freshen up that res'ume'.

KC_Connection 04-30-2013 11:28 PM

Clippers managed to go on the road and beat Memphis last year in Game 7. Not over yet, not as long as they have Chris Paul.

kcxiv 04-30-2013 11:31 PM

Well, it was their exit interviews and well its going to be a HUGE ratings grabber, only makes sense.

Gasol possibly gone, Dwight as well. Kobe is a huge ****ing unknown going into next year. Yeah, it was on NBA tv all day too

Yep, last year the Grizz won game 6 in LA, so feelings were positive going into Game 7. Grizz shot 32% in that game though. Not sure the Clips have the defense to cause that kind of shooting performance. Big key will be Blake's availability.

I get that.

But, it is silly to turn to it and it's all that's ****ing on.

But, i would much rather watch more about the Nuggets/Warriors series/fued.

Yeah, me too, even as a Lakers fan, but its just never going to happen.

I know it's not over, but if Blake isn't healthy I just don't see it this time. I think they definitely miss Reggie Evans against Memohis.

Unfortunately, you're right.

And not a jab to the Lakers, but Sportscenter has been unwatchable for years. But, nothing else is on this ****ing late.

okcchief 04-30-2013 11:43 PM

It's kind of funny Mark Jackson is calling people out for being too physical when he played for the Knicks and Pacers. I understand he's protecting his meal ticket, but c'mon.

Yes, they focus on soap opera BS. I can't watch that shit anymore. I only watch the games. The other shit drives me crazy. They did the same thing with the Jets in football. The most coverage the Thunder ever got was the fabricated Westbrook/Durant feud. It's no better than TMZ. That's what this ****ed up society wants though. It's a damn shame.

Ceej 04-30-2013 11:49 PM

I am not a fan of the NBA.

I will follow Jayhawks and that's about it.

But, I remember when Sportscenter showed highlights of every game -- including baseball games. That seems so long ago.

Now, it is drama driven.

Sometimes it sucks being a Midwesterner.

Thats why you have to stick to the league networks. MLB TV is great if you want to catch up on some baseball. Same with NBA TV and NFL network, but NFL Network has gotten So big, that they are changing to espn style a bit.

KevB 05-01-2013 12:03 AM

What the hell is Mark Jackson talking about? The supposed cheap shot on Steph was light, my gosh. He gave him a bump as he came through the lane. Steph better get used to it. If you want to prance around talking after you make shots, you're going to get the other team's attention. Is the way the league has always been.

KevB 05-01-2013 12:10 AM

OMG, Chuck and Kenny are killing Shaq right now. Frickin' hilarious. They showed Shaq taking a big swing at Brad Miller back in the day, and he completely whiffed. Chuck said he'd seen Shaq throw a punch at least 5 times and he'd never actually made contact. Then Kenny said, "it wasn't a free throw Shaq". Damn.

Makes me think Golden State is going to blow it. Cant be crying up 3-2. Soft coach isn't confident they can close at home.

I think it's pretty much over. Vinny has literally gone three straight games without adjusting anything - don't really see him making the right adjustments now. This team is literally screaming out for a real coach who can run plays, adjust, and make good rotations. Losing this series would honestly be a blessing in disguise since Vinny will be gone and the front office will have to fix some of the huge flaws in this roster.

That being said, the Clippers looked even more done after losing Game 6 last year and they managed to win a road game 7 with Blake and CP3 hurt, so you never know. Maybe they can pull a miracle again.

You do realize Phil Jackson did this for just about every playoff run, right?

Yes. To get the calls. I don't think Mark should think he's Phil. Do you see what happens when scrubs try to act like superstars? Refs bend them over

Good advice.

okcchief 05-01-2013 01:34 PM

Mark Jackson was definitely overreacting. Nothing done was dirty. However, I've seen KD absolutely raped a few times against Marion, Battier, Allen etc and Brooks has said nothing. I don't mind a coach sticking up for his players. Everyone knows it can get physical in the playoffs, but those plays weren't out of the ordinary at all. I assume he's reaching for something for the next home game. I don't think he has Phil pull quite yet. The teams he used to play for would even consider those play contact lol

If Denver was playing dirty last night, the Grizzlies and Clippers should be in jail for what's gone on in that series.

Celtics need to hold their own for the next minute to get this series to 3-2.

dirk digler 05-01-2013 07:42 PM

I can't believe the Celtics have won 2 in a row. Old men aren't going away quietly

Almost scrum between Felton and Crawford

-King- 05-01-2013 07:44 PM

Celtics do this every year. They have to be the hardest team to knock out of the playoffs. They don't go out without a fight.

KC_Connection 05-01-2013 08:39 PM

OKC probably ends up winning this game, but the way they've been playing since Westbrook went down leads me to believe that it's going to be very difficult for them to get past MEM/LAC.

Miles 05-01-2013 08:50 PM

That dual flop by Fisher and Martin against Asik was hilarious. Slowed down you can see Asik come to a stop and both of those guys go flying at exactly the same time.

okcchief 05-01-2013 08:59 PM

Westbrook has obviously been holding the Thunder back all of this time. He's why they can't win a title right? You have 4 guys staring at Durant. We can't get any fast breaks. If Brooks lets this series get away he shouldn't even make the post game press conference.

Go Royals!

dirk digler 05-01-2013 09:01 PM

lol Knick players came to the game dressed like they were going to a funeral, all black.

Hope that provides some motivation to the Celtics...
