The Anchorage Eskimos are pleased to announce the signings of FB Jed Collins and FS Matt Giordano, both of whom are expected to move into starting positions immediately. Anchorage has released FB Reagan Mauia and TE Zach Miller to make room on the roster.

As a reminder to everyone, you can't submit further bids on free agents if your roster is over 53. So if you win a free agent and it pushes your roster over the limit, you need to make a cut.

I guess I just don't get it, I bid on the guys I wanted and a few extras that would have been nice. I haven't really sniped anyone or freaked out because he was about to be signed. I feel like some are just looking at timers and seeing the bids and are like whoa I didn't see that guy before I want him now. I kind of wish everything was anonymous, and that there was a silent bid on them that way people have to put what they want down for the guys they need.

I bid on players on my list if they're in danger of coming off the board, but why do it before? So someone can take advantage of my work?

Belcher has his flaws, but that guy has a serious nasty streak.

He's got a real violent nature that's great in linebackers. We think he's got a real shot to be great.

Not such a big deal to you Dan Snyder's of the league but this is how Scott Peeholy taught me to be cheap.

You pay what you bid, and the contract is the largest year that your bid exceeded.

So I lost 6 points.
