Like making sure people can smoke cigarettes in casinos.

Can't ****ing legalize marijuana for people that could really use it.

And something like 10% of that is going to be spent on pot prevention programs. Moderately ironic.

Arkansas shouldn't be far behind.

I fall under the "productive" smoker category, and plan a move to Colorado when I graduate. Probably going to make the move some time in the next year. I was on the fence about moving there already, but this has made up my mind. Basically I loved it there already, and this is just the icing on the cake that sealed the deal. I won't move there without a job though, so I'm not going to come leach the system. Its an interesting idea, you'll have to keep us updated if Colorado becomes overrun with dirty hippies and their music festivals. I'll get one of these:

A lot of my old friends from my hippy days moved out to Colorado a long time ago when medical became legal there. They all work in the "industry" though, either growing or making medicinal extracts. Same guys used to work in Humboldt as trimmers, though, so they're pretty much lifetime pot industry dudes.

The Dems are just as bad. They're too busy making backdoor real estate deals for their buddies to actually get something done that would help people medically.

aturnis 03-11-2014 01:34 PM

Oh I agree. I just hate Steve King.

I meant ironic considering the "it's a harmless plant!" crowd.

It is harmless. Anything can be abused. Ever watch my strange addiction?

Pot prevention programs are for kids and to appease your crowd.

Yes, I know. Then again, if it's a harmless drug, why not let kids partake?

Pot makes me forget stuff. It's not that hard to imagine it would have negative effects on a growing brain.

Kansas will be one of the very last states to do it, if ever.

CBD medical oil is being voted on.

Lots of measures working to get either in front of the house/senate or voters.

Iowa has (or will soon) decriminalized cannabis oil. It's legal to possess but you have to go out of state to procure it. It's not legal to sell.

So you have to buy a drug that is still illegal on the Federal level and take it accross state lines? :doh!: seems legit

Pot laws are dumb.

Thought this was still ongoing. Did it pass?

Also, is it decriminalize, or approved for medical use with scrip?

The decision was imminent as of Thursday night. I haven't seen more. And yes, approved for medical use with a script. I misspoke.

The part about having to go out of state to get it is still true, though.

Iowa has been so slow in this. This should have been trivial. So much for staying ahead of the curve.

Exactly, and how much have they banked in taxes so far, drop in crime, quality of life, and having the Freedom to do what you feel like when you feel like it. I has been a great move for you guys!! ;)

Taxes are like 15 percent plus sales tax with the first 40 million going to schools on recreational purchases. We still have this stupid medical designation with different laws and taxes.

When I lived on the east coast I concealed the fact that I smoked. Not because I thought a LeO would catch me, but because I thought people would use it against me. Now...its just not a big deal and no one cares and I actually smoke less. lol.
