He means they're going to figure out how much they need this year before they ask him to start moving it. Because if they move too much it hurts more down the road. If they move too little, they can't go back to the well to ask for more.

So are we thinking it makes more sense to get a deal done before the start of the tampering period? Or after the first wave?

I could see either.

If you wait, someone might get desperate. That also means we might miss out on signing someone we like.

We’ve gotta be over the cap right now and I think that trade is by far the easiest path to get back under by Wednesday

Don’t wanna do the Mahomes restructure just yet until you know what’s needed
