Chip Kelly to Florida is Rich Rodriguez to Michigan the sequel.

Chip Kelly has zero relationships or connections to the high school football recruiting network in the state of Florida and his offense at Oregon was pretty much shut down by every SEC team he faced.

Urban Meyer had zero FL connections and did just fine. Kelly would need to retain some of the Florida staff, namely Skipper, Seider, and Davis who are great recruiters.

So Kelly's offense can't succeed in the SEC because he lost to the SEC while at Oregon and Frost's offense can't succeed at Nebraska because he won't be able to recruit Florida athletes. Can't have it both ways.

Just popped in to say congrats to Miami on the complete ass raping that it gave Notre Dame. I'll be rooting for Miami to win it all this year.

And I'm not sure how Notre Dame fixes itself. It's the same thing year after year and it's gotten old. I've literally watched 3 ND games this year.

Both statements are true.

Lots of smoke about Frost to Nebraska being a done deal. I came.

Well, I guess it’s either Saban or Meyer.

I’d have gone SEC and Florida’s rich recruiting ground.

Meyer doesn’t have anywhere to go for a long time.

It does look like Frost is probably going to take a step back career wise to head to his alma mater.

I'll be interested to see how long it takes for the NU fans to turn on him too.

Sassy Squatch 11-18-2017 09:48 AM

So are there ANY games worth watching today?

B1G West is easier to win. Although I'm not sure it was about that since he's from and played at Nebraska and his parents still live in Lincoln. He's got several assistants that were former Huskers too. This doesn't happen if he never played here.

We FINALLY hire a coach worth a shit. Best young and upcoming coach on the market too.

Why the hell is Alabama playing Mercer in the middle of the season.
Cheap ass losers.

NWMO playing a playoff game. Lots of rain in Ohio. Player fumbles the ball, ref stands there. Takes forever to find who has the ball. Come on ref.

Every team schedules cupcakes. Why does it matter if they play them at the beginning or middle of the season?

Sure its ALA and they will still be in the top 4. But if you are fighting for a playoff spot-wouldn't you want to win a competitive game instead of blowing out a cupcake?
