Serious question, do you honestly believe the Chiefs will never draft a QB in the 1st simply because of this?

Nobody can possibly be that ****ing ignorant.

Not never and idk how old you are but they havent in my lifetime. Shit the only QB they tried to develope was Brodie Croyle.

Nobody can say for certain, but until they do otherwise, he isn't wrong.

Did you ever think you'd see the Royals win a World Series in your lifetime back in 2008?

The Cubs were over 100 years in their drought, and they had at least made the playoffs a couple of times in the span of 30 years.

Interesting NFL Draft odds (Bovada)

O/U 2.5 QBs in round one
O/U 25.5 draft position for QB Watson
O/U 10.5 draft position for QB Trubisky

I've got a good feeling Watson or Mahomes will be there with a willing trade partner at 21-23. The compensation should be right about our comp 3rd.

I think we can get Watson at 27.

WTF does that have to do with anything?

I didn't make any bold ****ing prediction. The Chiefs' history suggests they don't take QBs in the first round. Until they do otherwise, he is not wrong.

They could do otherwise THIS year, but history does not support that wild ass guess.

Kiimo 04-24-2017 04:13 PM

He's saying the past is not precedent and predicting the future based on the past is ridiculous, especially since we have a different GM now, and that GM is known to have taken QBs early.

There isn't a person on this team from top to bottom that was here during Peterson's years as far as I know, not even the owner.

Coogs 04-24-2017 04:20 PM

We have drafted 2 QB's in our history in the first round. One of them was from Clemson and wore #4. That number was retired in 1979, and brought out of retirement for Watson. :hmmm:

I'm pretty sure precedent is exactly what this is.

Words. They mean things.

Too lazy so I'll ask does anyone know what it would take to go from 27 to the 8-14 range?

14 is worth 1100 points.

Ours:

1st 680
2nd 310
3rd 136
3rd 86
4th 40
5th 23
5th 19
6th 5
6th 4
7th 1 or 2

#8 is worth 1400

We should realistically look at the 18-22 range. Titans and dolphins. Ravens are looking to move but that's a big jump to 16.

The precedent is Reid and Dorsey's drafting history, not the drafting history of a building where people have worked.
