Wow

See ya Billy.

Don't be shocked if he puts up halfway-decent stats in that ballpark. (A lot of the casual ignorant Royals fans in our everyday lives are probably gonna point it out to most of us next season) It won't mean he's capable of doing that in the K, and we don't want a full-time DH anyway unless he's awesome.

Yasmany Tomas I can get behind this now

Bye Billy! Hope you enjoy Seven Nation Army.

*Billy should rake in Camden Yards though.

With Nelson Cruz leaving, that makes some sense. Although, Cruz played 70 games in the OF last year. They will still need some LF help, unless they plan to go with Lough and De Aza full time

Few things in MLB would shock me more than seeing the Royals sign Yasmany Tomas

Billy hit into 21 DPs.

Howard hit into 10.

I give it a 1 and 25, and that's being generous

And that probably takes Santana off the table, and instead we go for a couple of Brett Anderson types and hold our breath that one of them pans out. Having a young 24 year old RH bat to plug into right field with serious power potential is damned exciting though.

Billy struck out 96 times.

Howard struck out 190 times.

There's a relationship there.

Neither one of these sets of numbers matter to me if the OPS was where it needed to be.

If Billy Butler has 3-year, $30M offer, as http://t.co/r272dAOexg said, it isn’t from #Orioles. “Not true,” Duquette said. “Not even close.”

If the Royals really did have the money and were willing to risk a 7 year commitment (I'm skeptical, to say the least), he actually makes some sense. With no stats, college, or minor league pedigree to go on, I have to rely completely on the scouts for this, but they seem excited. 70 power who is "not fast, but good speed for his size". Big dude, 6'2" 240

Downside is the scouts aren't sure about the hit tool, he swings and misses a bit more than they want. Very high risk, very high potential reward. It would be a very expensive mistake if he didn't pan out especially for a team like KC, but the scouts I'm reading are going bonkers over his power.

Thus, my 1 and 25 odds. If you are KC, you can't afford to gamble with the entire estate. For NY, ChiC, Philly, LAD, LAA, etc, that's Vegas weekend money

Howard trade rumors weren't true. They were interested in him before June but are focused on pitching now. Santana, Anderson, Hammel

Same. The market for Cuban players has gotten so high, only the big-market teams can afford the risk of signing the marquee guys.

The success of Jose Abreu only increased the market.

Have you been reading about the Korean SS? EDIT: It now sounds like he WILL get posted. Intriguing player.
