If the Royals really did have the money and were willing to risk a 7 year commitment (I'm skeptical, to say the least), he actually makes some sense. Downside is the scouts aren't sure about the hit tool, he swings and misses a bit more than they want. Very high risk, very high potential reward. It would be a very expensive mistake if he didn't pan out especially for a team like KC, but the scouts I'm reading are going bonkers over his power.
