So Mizzou is 9-8 in SEC play and has obv "proved" they can play with the big boys. Except, that's not true in the slightest no matter what their fans or boosters in local media delude themselves into thinking.

9 wins: Their opponents finished SEC play 22-51 (30%).
8 losses: their opponents finished SEC play 52-13 (80%).

In 17 games they have beaten one team with a winning record, Georgia at 5-3. If you strip out the MU games from the above data, it's still 34% & 77% respectively or no difference. Football powerhouse.

I hate to admit this but he's right.

Can't help but admire Pinkel for being so consistent against worse teams, in a way it's like Bill Snyder (although Snyder does it a bit better, for longer, at a MUCH tougher place to win). KSU fans saw how badly it was when he left and Prince took over, and KU fell from respectability to garbage without FatMan. I'm certain the same fate awaits when Pinkel goes.

I think that's taken at the indoor football facility.

But KU just won a National Championship so it could be that I guess.

It's the football tagline though.

I thought it was a memorial for the track around the football field.

A new fence is being built along that end. I'm not sure the fate of the plush seating. I suppose it will probably stay until the next phase.

Day 1 of the SEC Network is a week from tomorrow. May as well call it Day 1 of the college football season.
